  1. Sounds like a great show and happy for those that were able to make it. Still amazed that I couldn't even give my tickets away. I hope my two empty seats enjoyed the show.
  2. I'd pay me double too if I could go!! I'm amazed that I can't even give these tickets away. Music fans have such short term memories and unless you're a guy like Springsteen that does everything with a giant exclamation point, guys like Plant just fall out of the public consciousness so easily. I have many friends that like Zeppelin and good music and none had any interest in going. I hear a lot of "Ah, he's still around?" and "Sounds interesting but.." but no real interest. It boggles my mind.
  3. I had posted a week or so ago looking for advice on selling tickets to a couple of shows that I had bought tickets for but am unfortunately unable to go to as my wife recently had surgery. I sold a pair of tickets for the Brooklyn show to a friend of a friend but still have 2 tickets to the Mohegan Sun show in 2 days (on 7/24). I tried selling on Ebay at under face value as well as StubHub and CraigsList but all to no avail thus far. I paid a bit over $120 with all of the fees but will take the best or quickest offer. At this point the tickets are completely going to waste so I'd love to see a fellow fan get to the show rather than have two empty seats. They are in section 118, row C and they are e-tickets. Please email me if interested at bjpack1 at gmail dot com. I understand any hesitation to buy e-tickets from a stranger so I can only assure you that these are real and I truly wish I was going with my wife as intended and not selling them.
  4. I didn't want it to look like a mere solicitation but the tickets are for the Brooklyn show on 7/27. They are in reserved left center row U. They are hard tickets that I have in hand. If I can get what I paid for the tix that would be great. If not, I'll take what I can get. Feel free to PM me if interested. My wife had bought the Brooklyn tix as a birthday present for me but then we found out our son has a baseball tournament in Delaware that weekend so we could not go. She then bought tix for the Foxwoods show on 7/24 as a replacement with the plan to sell the Brooklyn tix. Unfortunately, we recently found out that she will be having unexpected surgery the week before so now the Foxwoods date is out and I won't be able to go. Thus, I need to sell my tickets for the Mohegan Sun show as well. That said, if anyone wants those tickets, again at face, let me know. I believe I got e-tickets for that one but can get any and all details if you are interested. I'm happy to do an exchange in person (in northern NJ where I live or downtown NY where I work) or using PayPal or Ebay or whatever you are most comfortable with.
  5. Thanks! I've always been wary of buying on Craigslist so I was similarly wary of selling. Perhaps I'll give it a shot. I suppose if you sell it locally and meet in person, things should work out smoothly and trust issues would be alleviated.
  6. My apologies for posting this here but I've searched the corners of the Internet and have not found a good answer. I have a couple of tickets to an upcoming Plant show that I, unfortunately, need to sell due to circumstances beyond my control. I'm not looking to make money and will take what I can get for them but selling them even below face value has been a challenge. I listed them on Ebay for less than face and there were no bites and they are sitting on StubHub. Does anybody know of a place where I might be able to offer them up to a population that would be interested in seeing Mr Plant? I'm happy to give more info about the tickets if anyone has questions but am not looking to use this forum to sell them. I'm not a fan of Craigslist but might consider it as a last resort. Thanks and sorry for posting this here. If it is deemed inappropriate and deleted, I understand.
  7. Congrats on that. I've got a credit as Jimmy's Bow Caddy. Very excited as well.
  8. Yeah, don't know what I was thinking. I guess the subject name will first alert people to something they think they didn't know and subsequently to a good reason why the poster that created the topic only posts a few times a year.
  9. I realize that this had gotten some coverage a few months ago but apparently Buddy Miles mentioned the unfinished Plant album in a recent interview again. Not notable since its been talked about before but figured I'd share anyway: http://news.radio.com/2013/02/25/buddy-miller-on-robert-plant-album-its-just-about-done/ edit: OK, don't know who Buddy Miles is but perhaps someday he too will share a stage with Robert Plant. I meant Buddy Miller. Glad I named the topic in such a way as to avoid any possibility of editing my senior moment.
  10. First, don't think it's going to happen as this is a throwaway quote/joke being blown up by all of us that want so bad to believe it could mean something. Playing along though, there's no way they use Led Zeppelin so I think they'd call themselves the New Yardbirds. Why not? Plant has brought back Band of Joy so it is almost a logical progression. Almost.
  11. ^ is hopefully recovered during the hours, hours and moments in between after begin sick again in 98. < is at work with a few hours to go.
  12. ^ Has a head shaped like so many other board members (including me!). < Looking forward to Letterman tonight.
  13. Bungle in the Jungle - Jethro Tull

  15. Letterman is a fan of rock music as I know that he was a big Warren Zevon fan (yes a bit different) and he apparently likes the Foo Fighters. Also, don't forget, he did get Sonny and Cher to reunite!
