  1. LOL! The exclusive is about a couple of years late. Not sure how that's an exclusive and what research was really done since I posted the same information back on May 10th 2015 on page 11in this thread with a link to the music! There was a post on FBO with the link and I added the information into the thread over here. I can provide the name of the poster, and the date it was posted. The post on FBO was titled "This tune's got more Stairway in its first measures than anything by Spirit". The post was made by Jenzi Silverman on Saturday June 14th 2014. Credit goes to Jenzi and not Noah Itman.
  2. All the way back to 1659 by Gio Battista Granata! Go to the following url and listen to the 8th sample down on the page titled: Sonata di Chittarra, e Violino, con il suo Basso Continuo. http://www.arkivmusic.com/classical/Drilldown?name_id=122732&name_role=1&comp_id=202629 Written centuries before Randy. Whether it be you cannot copyright a chord progression, public domain due to the passing of time etc. The lawsuit doesn't have much merit. Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  3. Not to move the thread off topic further but the references Paul makes in playing the solo on Radioactive can be traced back. An earlier reference of Paul stating he played the solo on Radioactive can be found on page 197 from a book by Steven Rosen called "Free at Last" from 2001. Here's the brief passage quoted of Paul: "We did a lot of different things; 'Radioactive' was strangely unique," reflects Rodgers. "I played the guitar solo on that." Offhand I don't see a reason why Paul would misrepresent his playing the solo on the song. as there's nothing to gain from it. As for Fire, I would love to have a cleaner version of the work in progress. Hopefully one day. Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  4. While I have some ticket stubs, some of my unused are eye catching as well. Besides the main 1980 Chicago display in the back, the unused tickets left to right are: 07/30/77 New Orleans, 08/03/77 Chicago, 10/30/80 Detriot, 08/06/77 Buffalo, and 08/13/77 Philadelphia. There's also an example of a 04/10/77 ticket as well as the unused '77 JFK passes. I am still looking to acquire an example of the August 2nd 1977 Chicago ticket as well as examples for the August 9th and August 10th 1977 Pittsburgh shows. If anyone has an example of these unused tickets please let me know. Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  5. The copy I utilized to take the pictures of is a Mastercraft PR SD19128. ST-A-702005-E for side one. Side two is ST-A-702006-F. If you need the run off information please let me know since there is more etched. It's not a red /plum label I also own a ST-A-7002005-A side one with an ST-A-F side two. 6. I took two quick images with the phone and cropped the images. Do these work better for you? Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  7. A couple of quick tid bits regarding Star Wars connections to music history. George Lucas was one of the cameramen for the Rolling Stones feature "Gimme Shelter" and Harrison Ford worked on the Doors film "Feast of Friends". Here's a write up and some images regarding the Doors feature: http://www.thedoorsguide.com/history/harrisonford.html Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  8. Some examples of '80's old school boots, that I have: Included in the image is a copy of the complete "The Can". I passed on an example of The Can. It was $200.00 which was a lot for someone in high school. I took the cheap route instead! I have a lot on cassette, even some cassette singles. Concerts, radio specials etc. Those were the days. 9. If you Google images for David Prowse you will see he looks nothing like Anthony Daniels. David was a bodybuilder and is much larger than the thinner Daniels. It appears the image shown came from this site: http://sisco-center2.blogspot.com/2011/10/star-war-hace-mucho-tiempo-en-una.html where you can see the names of the actors listed. Yes, that is Kenny Baker (R2-D2). That is not Mike Edmonds (or any of the other individuals that were inside the large Jabba puppet in ROTJ) or Declan Mulholland. Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  10. Just an fyi that is David Prowse (the main actor who portrayed Darth Vader in the original trilogy) next to Harrison Ford. It's Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) that is not pictured. Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  11. Hi Steve, I checked the post I made over on RO with the links regarding the video walkthough where the uploader (who was not the filmer) mentioned the footage is from May 20, 1995 and that there's more footage from three days earlier but they say it's basically the same. I thought the footage was on a concert dvd but it was on a Page / Plant video compilation. We could IM and ask if they would be willing to reupload the video. Then again, I guess I could create a Youtube account and reupload the footage. Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  12. Hi Kenog, A video walkthrough of the memorabilia truck is available on a bootleg concert dvd. The video of the walkthrough was on Youtube in two parts but appears to have been taken down. I saved the video. If I can't find the video on youtube, I can burn you a copy of it. Let me see if I can find it. If not, and if you are interested perhaps I can burn a copy and send it via snail mail. Steve, Do you have a copy of the walkthrough? If not, perhaps I can make a copy for you as well. Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  13. Hi Steve & Kenog, The background does make sense. There were a couple of items on display in the Page / Plant Memorabilia truck in 1995 such as Karen's BPI ITTOD Gold record award as well as a complete autograph display that had autographs personalized to Karen. Thanks again! Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  14. Hi Steve! Did Jimmy Page have a stepbrother named Darren Roberts? http://www.memorabilia-uk.co.uk/product_desc.php?id=4344 Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  15. Sadly due to the most tragic of circumstances this ticket never had the chance to be used on this date all those years ago. R.I.P. Karac. Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  16. Hi Scott! Now I know where that frisbee went! Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  17. I'll have to start searching through old bootleg vhs tapes. I'm probably way off but perhaps it's "The Trip To The Crypt"?
  18. Hi Strider! I actually picked up the release through Ebay. Although not on Swan Song stationary I thought it was interesting enough to pick up. There's a couple of more pages with it that mainly list the concert dates and cities. I can scan in the rest if you want to see the remaining pages? Please let me know. Have a good one. Ever onward. Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  19. Great thread Strider. The image of the article from the paper caused me to search and find my copy of the press release from all those years ago. Here's a scan of the first page of the press release: Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  20. From the Houston Post 12/19/76: Opening Wednesday! Robert www.behindthetoys.com
  21. Hi Steve, I have an article a friend sent me that was in the magazine FourFourTwo (the September 2002 issue). Below is a picture from the article of Robert surround by Wolves paper material. If you notice there's a cd pictured called "The Howling Wolves" with the Wolves logo which Robert's solo logo is similar to. I apologize for the blurry image but the pc with the scanner is down so I took a pic. Of note, one of the newpaper article's pictured has the banner headline "Jones will face a board grilling." I wonder if Robert planted (lol) that newspaper heading for the pic. Robert www.behindthetoys.com
