There was only one concert in 71. They did an early and late show on September 19, 1970. -

Wow, this thread just got 10x better. The power of the Internet. Welcome, Arthur! -
It got lukewarm reviews at the premiere, has since yet to be picked up by a distributor, and marketing materials for the film have since been taken down. I think that’s enough of an indicator…

This is an incredible story (and for the Zep film geek in me, great to confirm which date that shot came from)! Welcome to the forum! -
There is also the Detroit show on August 28, but it’s very poor quality and incomplete; I’d certainly consider the September shows as part of the summer tour (the Fall Equinox wasn’t until after New York shows).

The ending of Stairway sample predates anything from spindle's recording, and is a verified fake. Close comparison reveals that the instrumentals were actually taken from the 9/29/71 Osaka show. Not sure where the vocals are from but they are certainly overlaid to try and exaggerate authenticity. Otherwise, the other samples are legit.

It won’t happen. The taper has sold the tapes to a private collector, so unless they’re connected to Japan…

4 May 71 Odense, Denmark show to be released
ledzepfilm replied to Zep Hed's topic in Led Zeppelin Live
Yes, and it’s because previous releases of Rock Carnival are horribly processed for most of the tape. Too bad it’s being released on Tarantura which means they’ll just EQ the raw tape further… -

Rock Carnival is probably the only interesting thing about this set. -
1977.06.26 LA - 8mm film (Source 1) - NEW Digital Transfer
ledzepfilm replied to ledzepfilm's topic in Led Zeppelin Live
I’ll send you a PM soon. I think public download links aren’t allowed here. -
The Dogs of Doom is proud to present the last of four new digital transfers of 8mm film reels that were distributed through magazines such as Goldmine in the mid to late 1970's, continuing on with releasing a film shot 45 years ago today on the fifth night of Led Zeppelin's six night stint at the LA Forum on June 26, 1977. This film is compiled from two reels - the first (entitled "Kashmir") transferred in 2K via Adam at Genesis Museum (covering the first part of the show) coming from the collection of Glyn, and the second (entitled "Achilles Last Stand") from a fresh 1080p transfer brought to you by Mark McFall, with the reel generously borrowed from the collection of Tony Halloway. The sync to the audience recordings was done by myself. I rendered everything in 1080p as a "lowest common denominator" of sorts. This is the first of two 8mm sources known to exist from this night. As some people may know, these two reels contain a mix of footage from this date as well as the show on June 22. The only big thing to note is that I had to slow down the clip around 11:50 (8:36 in the YouTube upload) pretty drastically to match the music. I hope you all enjoy, and that one day all 8mm films of Led Zeppelin can be handled with such love and care. A download link to this footage with Kashmir included as well as the footage on June 22 can be found elsewhere if you know where to look

Dude… Zepster, AA, Pawel, mystic.shiva, per_jonson, Arthur MacGregor, now “Freak”… you’re really collecting pseudonyms like Infinity Stones at this point. You’re way too easy to spot. Maybe you expected me to take your bait, but I think it’s important for the community to know what a clown you truly are. When will Sam and Your Overlord bite the bullet and just IP ban your ass from these forums already? Haven’t we heard enough of your bootleg shilling and rants about people downloading legal gray area recordings for free?
