  1. The whole idea of the fantasies was to fill the gaps in the live footage. The camera crew was rather baked at MSG.
  2. Can I please say one thing concerning the "uncirculating" part? It's complete BS. If a show was filmed, that does NOT mean the film was also saved, and even if it was, 40 years is a long time and it's perfectly possible for footage to get destroyed in such a period.
  3. Please use the search function on this forum or other Zeppelin sites, most of the questions in the last few pages of this thread have long been answered.
  4. Steve Gorman was to me the best drummer to play with any of the guys after Bonzo died. He has more feeling and swing than Michael Lee or Jason. Jason was the best choice for the reunion though, because it is just so mythical and fitting to Zep to have the son of the old master pick up his fathers sticks.
  5. Kashmir was not tuned down. Jimmy's been using the Transperformance on Whole Lotta Love since at least 1999 on his tour with the Black Crowes. By the way, though I like the Danelectro there's no denying that the guitars he used to replace it at the O2 were both far superior.
  6. There are some who say the ARMS shows pretty much saved Jimmy. After Zeppelin ended he kinda locked himself up at Plumpton and was struggling with his addiction; then Clapton, Beck and friends took him out to play and he went out there again and started to deal with the addiction a bit better.
  7. Just follow us my dear American friends. While you're at it, legalise it 100% and you'll even take over the lead
  8. Turns it was Pagey himself who said it, but he only said he used it on Whole Lotta Love, nothing about the main riff, could be buried in the middle section. Then again knowing Page it might not even be used at all. BTW I can't be arsed to search for the actual quote, sorry.
  9. I don't know who said it, but I read once that Page used the Black Beauty on Whole Lotta Love.
  10. Would it be a copyright issue to call yourself The Nobs?
  11. How the hell did I miss this thread? Zeppelin, castles, blonde women and Tolkien... Sure sounds not so bad to me.
  12. "Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;" God is gonna screw over your children if you worship Zep.
  13. And let's not forget that the biggest mass murderer of all is God himself, killing the entire population of the Earth (minus two) once. Ok sorry, shouldn't have said this but I just couldn't help. Anyway, I don't want to offense anyone and let's all live in peace and harmony.
  14. I don't really buy the first answer. I tend to disagree with the second, mainly because of this: rac·ism (rszm) n. 1. The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others. 2. Discrimination or prejudice based on race. You didn't answer my most important one so I won't bother you with it. And I would like to apologise for the wording of my first post: I dislike Christianity, not individual Christians. Edit: I saw you replied to the last one now, was to eager-typing to wait for your edit.
  15. One question about the "7 Million Christians slaughtered by Nazis". I don't want to sound ignorant but I have no clue what you're talking about. I'd also like to know when Christianity became a race, or where you learned the definition of rascist. My last and most important question is: So if Christians have suffered as well as other people, how does that make their own crimes less evil?
  16. Hey, I'm not burning anyone. I even tried to save the Playmobil guy my little brother once burned, I'm to nice to burn a guy.
  17. After about 2000 years of repression it is now your time to burn, dear Christians. Be glad you are only bullied on the internet though instead of being burned to death.
  18. On live versions of Louie Louie and Money (That's What I Want) from Seattle 1972 there are some extremely cool backing vocals. Could be Jimmy?
  19. Oh thanks, missed that because I wasn't on here for a month. I would say he looks a bit frail and way to tanned but there's not really much to say about the guitar playing is there? It's a simple piece and he effortlessy plays it without doing anything special I would say.
  20. His playing at the O² in 2007 was pretty good actually. Sure the solo in Stairway was short and sure there was a mistake or two but who cares if you get a free Tea For One 100% brilliant typical Jimmy Page balancing on the edge solo in SIBLY and an amazing TSRTS. The only vid I know of him playing an acoustic Kashmir is from 1989 and pretty decent BTW.
  21. Led Zeppelin, the only major Rock group that didn't, like most others, have inner fight after inner fight and egoes so big they didn't fit on one stage together. Their fans make up for that by constantly hating eachother or being the cause of forum threads filled with 400 pages of insults.
  22. And that has been told for about >9000 times now so if there isn't any evidence to suggest otherwise I would face it.
  23. Looks like a rather small stage for a '77 show. Could that help?
