  1. March 22,1973 Essen Germany. The sound quality isn't perfect, but I think the band put on a stellar performance.
  2. That would be sweet. I have always wondered how many soundboards Page has that hasn't made its way to the people.
  3. Capital Centre-Landover Maryland- May 30, 1977. JPJ's work on "No Quarter" is incredible!
  4. Dazed. I have to be in the mood for White Summer as well. I am a fan of the song, but I never really felt like one particular live solo captured Jimmy's greatness as a guitar player.
  5. Kyoto '72 Just got through with Baton Rouge 2/28/75. The band sounded great, but Robert's voice was a bit off. I have heard something about him having some surgery done the year prior.
  6. Warren Demartini is a very underrated guitarist, imho. There was a lot of great hard rock musicians in the 1980's that unfortunately were part of the glam thing. All of those bands, musically anyway, were just trying to do their best version of Zeppelin.
  7. Interesting. I always heard that it was in reference to a British potty training thing , "Point Percy at the porcelain".
  8. I didn't know that. Thank you for the clarification!
  9. I was 3. So I can appreciate what you are saying. I listened to that show recently. It didn't sound as bad as it could. The 77 tour killed all the way around in my opinion. I have been searching all over the place for an Atlanta '77 tour poster.
  10. Tommy Bolin is one of my Top 5 favorite guitar players. 'Come Taste the Band" has stood the test of time, imho. I was furious that the Rock Hall shunned him when DP was finally inducted.
  11. From what I have read, I think Glenn thought that he would play bass and sing as well. DC was an unknown working in a clothing store when DP advertised for a replacement for Gillan. I am a bit partial. I have always been more of a MK III and MK IV man myself.
  12. He killed in Trapeze and Deep Purple MK III and IV. His voice is still great after all these years.
  13. I bought them and to be honest, primarily for the bonus discs. I dig them, but I would like some type of live box that covers the span of their career. I have boots and whatnot, but look at what he did with the Forum shows for HTWWW. He could do the same thing in the studio with audio from any of the tours and release them. I would buy them just to have a somewhat cleaner sound.
  14. I fully agree. I wish the sets would have changed up more. Maybe play some more obscure cuts...
