  1. The Joaneline Music, Inc credit is on the UK first pressings and some early reissues (with warner logo) so not really much of a clue. Nothing on that label indicates anything other than a regular UK first press. It's a B5 pressing so some, who are more pedantic, might argue it's not a true first UK press because some believe the B4 was the true first press, but that's being pedantic.
  2. Unlikely to have been made for overseas. There were no UK pressings made for overseas that I've ever been aware of and even if this was made for overseas they would've have printed more of them so there would be other examples out there. Zeppelin was too big of a band for there not to be. I highly doubt, Zeppelin would've approved an alteration to the PG cover to be made in the UK for export anyway. Usually the cover alterations you find in other countries were done by the local label offices. Do you have photos of the label you can post? Sometimes made for export lps have some kind of indication that this is what they are. If it is a pro print job, it likely would've had to have been done at the time of the original printing (assuming it is a UK OG then 75) rather than someone buying a UK copy and making the alterations. I don't think it would be easy to do this once it was printing as per normal, cut and assembled. Someone with pro print shop experience would know better though.
  3. I saw the van around town a few weeks ago. Pretty cool and it was nice and loud.
  4. There hasn't been a conversation had since the 80's where live releases and Plants feeling towards them haven't been discussed. How he felt about them at one point in time is pretty much out there and not really a secret or an inside thing anymore. However, I don't think he has much issue with these now (he said yes already didn't he?) other then he probably doesn't care about them much and would rather prioritise projects he does care about over those that he doesn't. So although, IMO, a flat out "no" isn't happening, he's also not clearing his schedule to deal with it, if he has to, either.
  5. If you find out who bought it, give them my condolences for losing $2400.
  6. I collect records, not just Zeppelin and stuff like this happens a lot more often than people think. It's just a pressing plant error and although it might be "rare" for this title, that doesn't translate into valuable. You might be able to find a Zeppelin completist who might buy it but they won't pay much for it. I hesitate to use the word, worthless, but essentially that's where you are at with stuff like this for the most part. If you can get someone to pay you high $$ for this, take it and run... Sorry to be so blunt....
  7. Yes IIRC the POD release was basically a copy of the TMOQ release and used the same plates. I do't have my collectors bible by Robert Godwin with me but I can check when I get home tonight.
  8. I think The Nuge might have softened his opinion regarding Hendrix because relatively recently he did give him respect for his playing but did not have kind things to say about his habit and what the result was. Same thing with Page. He has acknowledged that he a good player but his personal habits... Nugent is really big on the whole anti-drugs and anti-drinking thing so he doesn't mince his words when it comes to those topics regardless of how good the musician is.
