  1. Here are some never-before-seen fan photos from Led Zeppelin's legendary Carnegie Hall (October 17, 1969) appearance. A group of 15 year-old fans captured their experience at the 8:30pm (early show) from the 10th row. They describe a lack of security, except for Carnegie Hall ushers and were free to venture up to the front of the stage for a few pics as well. Amazingly, these photos also reveal Jimmy Page's first photographed live use of his Black Beauty Les Paul during Led Zeppelin and confirms it was brought to North America for this fall 1969 tour. http://www.ledzeppelin.com/show/october-17-1969
  2. Ive been able to figure out a good portion of the how many more times danmarks solo, but am having trouble figuring whats going on when the two separate times he is using the same formation but flying up and down the neck.
  3. Does anyone know how to find an original print from the original negative of Zeppelin sitting outside of the Chateau Marmont in 1969? The photographer Jay Thompson (British) has passed away with very little estate or contact information. greatly appreciate any clues.
  4. 1969. The year Led Zeppelin launched in the record shops and Apollo 11 launched to the moon. Which means you have to be over 50 to have memories of either event, hahaha. As a kid I hated getting up early during summer vacation. It would take an act of god or mother nature (Earthquake!) to get me out of bed before 9 am. There were a few exceptions...going surfing or going on a camping trip. The other exception was the Apollo mission launches. They usually happened around 6 am PST. 50 years ago on July 16, 1969 I gladly got up at 6 am for the Apollo 11 rocket launch. This was the BIG ONE...the first manned expedition to the moon. If you didn't get goosebumps you weren't human. The launch occurred exactly at 6:32 am PST...13:32 UTC (or Greenwich Mean Time). So fellow Forum Members...who else was up watching the Apollo 11 launch 50 years ago? Was it a big deal or no deal in your household/city/country? You can relive the launch here: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/apollo-11-landing-watch-live-stream-the-moon-landing-original-date-50-year-anniversary-july-16-1969/
  5. I'm trying to find ideas for conglomerating concerts (see my YouTube channel for two concerts I've already done.) After I do Knebworth '79, I'm thinking of doing the first Boston Tea Party run in January '69. There are 2 definitive dates to mix from, 1/23 and 1/26. The issue I'm running into concerns this concert: Is it January 25, 1969? OR May 27, 1969? When searching both dates, the same concert comes up. Led Zeppelin's official website seems to point to the January 25th, but other Zep Heads seem to suggest it is from May 27th. I'm not well versed in their early shows (I find myself listening to later Zeppelin more often than not,) so if I could get some opinions on this matter, it would be much appreciated!
