snapper Posted August 9, 2009 Share Posted August 9, 2009 During the end credits from Zeppelin's DVD I noticed 2 very quick film clips from what I think is from Pittsburgh 73'. The first (which comes right after the clip of Bonham twirling his drumsticks) is from about the center of the floor, in this clip I also noticed a guy crouching down on the right side of the stage with a camera in his lap getting into position to film. It last's less than a second, so don't blink. The 2nd clip is shooting from behind and above the crowd. I've always been under the impression that they only rolled a single camera from the side of the stage as a test reel for the first few tunes of this concert. But, after noticing these quick clips I am convinced that they filmed the entire concert in a full multiple camera production mode in preparation for filming the MSG gigs, which really makes perfect sense. However, the scenes of arriving at the airport and driving away with the police escort are all from Pittsburgh ... up until the time when they hit (I believe) the Holland Tunnel and end up in NYC. Would that then mean he was not Baltimore security and was actually travelling with the band, or was the leaving the stage footage not from NY?
