So how many pairs has Sam kept to this today? I've searched online for more information about Stiefel's to no avail. Perhaps they were put out of business by the parachute pants craze in the early to mid 1980s. :P

They must have walked east from Peter Grant's office at 154 Oxford Steet to the Lyons Corner House located on Tottenham Court Road.

I think this film shows the route they walked, as Grant's office was located several floors above the Millet's clothing store shown on the right at 0:17 of this clip:
