Sad attempt at humor...hahahaha And btw.....they are just as prone to jokes as any public figure. Joy Behar had a Great show last night poking fun at the whole thing, great laughs. Lighten up. She may have been referring to the style choices of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, the daughters of Prince Andrew and Duchess Sarah. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip appeared tastefully dressed and appropriately composed with a sensible demeanor, as royals should do, as the princesses chattered while seated in the row behind them. Specifically, it was the hat worn by Princess Beatrice that drew attention, with its oversized ribbony motif. Do you think the rest of The Royals and especially Queen Elizabeth, appreciated her taste in dress for that day? I think the Princesses had fun with fashion, and their carefree attitude was a good thing. I would imagine Queen Elizabeth may have contemplated the most effective, yet unobtrusive way to impart knowledge on decorum and fashion sense to the Princesses. But I think she may have appreciated Beatrice's taste in dress for that day, the Valentino couture gown, except maybe for the hat designed by Philip Treacy worn by Princess Beatrice. It would be interesting to get her view on the dress designed by Vivienne Westwood worn by Princess Eugenie, which I loved for the vivid blue color and brocaded bodice except it needed only one bow at the neckline and she probably should have worn a necklace to soften the square neckline IMHO. And I liked the dragonfly on Princess Eugenie's hat. Queen Elizabeth II wore a sun colored dress by Angela Kelly with a matching hat, purse and her signature pearls. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie wore wild hats designed by Philip Treacy. The final piece of music before the Service begins continues the broadly British theme: Canzona from Organ Sonata in C minor by Percy Whitlock. Processional Music The Service will begin with a Fanfare by The State Trumpeters of the Household Cavalry to mark the arrival of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. The Fanfare will be followed by three Processionals. For the Procession of The Queen, Prince William and Miss Middleton have chosen March from The Birds by Sir Charles Hubert Hastings Parry. Prelude on Rhosymedre by Ralph Vaughan Williams will accompany the Procession of the Clergy, and was chosen for its Welsh echoes. The Couple have selected ‘I was Glad’, also by Parry, for the Procession of the Bride. Hymns Prince William and Miss Middleton have chosen three hymns for the Service: ‘Guide Me, O Thou Great Redeemer’, words by William Williams, translated by Peter Williams and others, and music by John Hughes. I learned yesterday that Sir Hubert Parry composed the music as an anthem for the women's suffrage movement, which makes me love it even more.
