This show was the second time Jimmy Page wore the black dragon suit on the 1977 US tour-the first being at Landover, Maryland 5-28-77. He played all of the show in the black dragon suit except when he came back for the end of Moby Dick he wore the white dragon suit. I think this along with the previous night 6-21-77 and the next night 6-23-77 are some of the best shows from the tour. I think Over the Hills and Far Away was a last minute song to be played as it is later in the set and not at position 4th song of the set like at other shows. I want to thank Jeff Weho who gave me permission to post his pics. He was very lucky to see quite a lot of the Los Angeles shows in 1975 and 1977. The audio of this show isn't as good as the 6-21 and 6-23 shows but is still enjoyable. I have posted a link to some nice video footage from this show. BUT...this is the show where Page's pants started falling down after NFBM; anybody know when exactly he changed outfits on this gig- based on the above pix, he obviously did at some point.
