I like the opening scenes that show the guys with their wives and children.

JPJ reading the bed time story=adorable.

I don't get why JP has red eyes. All the other guys initially express disappointment at receiving summons to get back out on the road, so I am guessing the red eyes are supposed to show his hopes of scaring the unwanted messenger away?

I´ve voted for Dazed and Confused. I also use a bow on guitar quite often and

before the "San Francisco"-Part.. Gosh, music never sounded so sweet and so.. magical

But to be honest, i would also pick No Quarter cuz of the Riff (ha, I remember when i heard it for the first time), Stairway (because its motherlovin´ Stairway...) and so on :D

I wish! But back to reality...

So many amazing moments throughout TSRTS but it have to pick best bits -

Jimmy's solos. Find myself holding my breath 'til he relaxes & changes pace.

Watching them all communicate with eachother.

Love watching them throw themselves physically into the performance - Jimmy's leap & dancing, Robert's body waves & shudders, Bonzo's frenzied attack on the poor drum kit - even JPJ breaks loose every now & then in his cool, gentle way!

Wish all of WLL was there.

Since Ive been loving you, esp. the opening scene, Jimmy"s solo and Roberts performance, the images of the crowd.

Dazed and Confused, esp. Jimmys solo and his fantasy scene and the interaction between John and John Paul.

Stairway, Whole Lotta Love, No Quarter.

offstage scenes; The arival at the airport and the following trip to MSG in the limousine. I also like the departure scene at the end.

Peter Grants quarrel about the pirate posters

Each of these scenes is great -- SIBLY and D and C are unforgettable.

When I saw TSRTS at it's Liverpool premiere in the second week of Nov 76 the scene I liked the most was when Page waved that multi coloured sword in front of his face. That would have been great to see after dropping a trip, but by then I'd stopped doing acid after seeing someone freak out.

The arival at the airport and the following trip to MSG in the limousine.

Not to ruin it for anyone, but the limo scenes were filmed enroute to Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh, not Madison Square Garden in New York. Sometime ago on this forum I had posted the precise route they taken during that filming...as I recall at one point they transit the Liberty Tunnels...the search function may reveal that post.

It's post #11 in this thread:

http://forums.ledzeppelin.com/index.php?/topic/20869-what-night-is-tsrts-exit-into-the-limos-from/#entry728439

I've just checked my notes again and according to those the scenes of them disembarking from the plane were filmed at Greater National Airport in Pittsburgh. From that location the police escort takes them up Route 60 and thru the Liberty Tunnel. A brief clip of their arrival at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh (was not shown in the film) is shown from 1:44-1:50 in this 1990 promo video:

However, they are quite possibly exiting the Holland Tunnel in New York during daylight shown at 4:00-4:01. Note this daylight segment would seem to match the interior limo scenes of Robert and Bonzo as well as a street scene with yellow cabs in New York earlier in the video.
