Bonzo

Both of those shots above must have been taken during the Summer months as Bonzo would shave his beard then. ^^^^^

Does anybody have a picture of Bonzo with George Harrison? I heard there were a few from 1973 but I wasn't able to track them down.

^In three years, he would be recording the first Led Zeppelin album, and the rest is history.

A rather introspective look, almost from inside the kit. His intensity and concentration were only part of his magic.

I've always thought that each member of LZ is "arguably" the best of his field

except Bonham. I've never heard a rock drummer with more power, precision, speed, timing, subtlety, groove...

He was simply the best. RIP, John Henry Bonham.

Who's got the coolest picture of Bonzo?

I have a picture of John Bonham backstage in Chicago 75' with a Chicago Blackhawk jersey on. I'll have to upload that picture!

These are great photos. Thanks for posting them! Attached is a screen shot from the 1970 TV interview he did with Robert. He looks very handsome and thoughtful, giving his full attention to the interviewer.

I've been looking online & can't find any pictures of John Bonham playing drums pre-Zeppelin, can anyone help?

Be great to see him playing with The Band of Joy or Tim Rose.
