does Plant use any 'speeding up-effect" on his vocals in The Song Remains the Same.
At times the vocals almost sound like The Chipmunks.

Does anyone know?

The vocals for TSRTS were indeed speeded up.

That's always been one of my favorite vocal tracks from Plant. You can tell it was sped up (pitch) just a hair. Another clever subtle trick used in the studio.
