The Firm-Live- 1984-1986

I was fortunate to see The Firm on their first album tour in 1985 and the second album-Mean Business in 1986. Both shows for me were played at the Summit in Houston, Texas. I still have my t-shirts, tour programs and ticket stubs from both shows. They were great shows and hold special memories for me. I remember at the show in 1985 that Jimmy's guitar cut out during the song Cut Loose (Paul Rodgers-solo) and Jimmy just raised both arms like - I am sorry nothing I can do - while his guitar tech fixed it. There are 3 pics from that show in this thread that Mark Bowman took- thanks to him for sharing his pics.

I was honored to see the show in 86 in Daytona and enjoyed it so much. L oved the flashback pictures. I also was blessed to see the show in New Orleans that same year, the energy was tremendous. The pictures hardly show the level of expertise as demostrated. In New Orleans, Mason Ruffner opened up and really got the "party started". Was the date on that picture correct? Get back on that anyone.

The dates for Daytona Beach & New Orleans are correct but that particular photo is probably from a different show. It's unlikely he would have changed shoes.

I never realized that Jimmy had so much trouble with buttons on shirts! There are SO many pictures out there where there's just one button fastened in the middle.

This thread got my thinking about the Firm gig I saw in April 1985. Here's a link to an interview with a writer from the Chicago Tribune from a few days before the show; pretty interesting... http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1985-04-21/entertainment/8501230583_1_band-firm-jimmy-page/2
