A while back I was browsing around on YouTube and I found an alternate version of "All My Love" where there is an approximately 1 minute extension at the end. I thought about it again recently when I heard it on the radio and found the other version again and listened to it. Perhaps it drags the song out a little more than is neccesary, but I love Jimmy's guitar and the song comes to a full end instead of fading out. I don't know why the end was cut for the album version.

As to why it was cut, I think you answered your own question.
However, I agree with you that the extra guitar is beautifully played, and I'm glad we have access to that extended version.

Thanks for sharing. I just went and checked it out for the first time. They should have used the long ending on the album.

Jimmy's playing throughout is more prominent in the bootlegged mix - I wish they'd kept more of it in...

I noticed that & where I work, they play "All My Love" rather frequently.
This is off topic & I am sorry it is but, "Over the Hills'' has a nice ending too...

I've always preferred this version and also the other outtake (think it was an instrumental track). Jimmy's sensitivity of playing in this track provides a counterpoise his relatively lesser creative input on ITTOD.

Well put.
Btw: By instrumental do you mean the leaked drum track?
