I think it's a texture thing. They are one of those foods that can sound great but actually taste of nothing. Like............................. Avocados. Now I have stated many times that the Avo and me don't get along. So Mrs CP is doing a starter of Avo's with Prawns in a Marie Rose sauce. She says it will be wonderful so here's hoping? I have done a Beef and Chorizo Cassoulet. This hearty dish will be served with a crusty Sourdough loaf. eeemmmmmm delish Pistachio and raspberry cheese cake and cream for afters. I love them with everything, and sometimes will eat just an avocado for lunch. Cut into chunks, sprinkle with a little sea salt and balsamic vinegar and voila! Fresh chunky guacamole is a favorite at my house as well. Having said that, I have found that just like bananas, there is a very short couple of days to eat them so that they are perfect. Too ripe or too green and they are unedible. That may not be what you're dealing with, sounds like you just don't like them. No worries, that's more for Mrs. cp!
