Led Zep Fan Project

A fellow music writer and I have teamed up to create a fan tribute to honour fan's memories of seeing Led Zeppelin live. Please read the note below on what exactly we are looking for. We would appreciate any help, or contributions anyone may have to offer.

"Between 1968-1980 Led Zeppelin were the biggest band on the planet. Within those 12 years, thousands upon thousands of people were fortunate to witness that magic on stage.

Bluebirdreviews and Led Zeppelin~Ultimate Fan Page have teamed up to ask you, those lucky thousands, to share with us your adventures, experiences and fond memories of being there at a Led Zeppelin concert. What you felt when the boys hit the stage. What you experienced at the show. You were part of history and we are looking for stories, pictures and experiences from those shows.

Why you may ask? We will be compiling all the material we receive, from you, the fans, the people who witnessed Led Zeppelin's amazing rise to stardom to create a one of a kind fan tribute to Led Zeppelin. First hand accounts of the shows, or stories of rubbing shoulders with Robert, John, Jimmy and John Paul. All contributions will be given proper credit to the author and we are confident it will be something amazing once completed. With help from other reputable Led Zeppelin enthusiasts we are positive that this could be a wonderful visual tribute to our boys and just another way to keep the legacy of Led Zeppelin alive.

What we are looking for: your concert memories, your stories, any pictures, articles, or pictures of your concert memorabilia that you'd like to share, all during Zeppelin's reign ('68-'80). The tribute will include not only stories, but media tributes as well.

You can send your contributions to us at LedZep68to80@gmail.com. We will be actively working on the project and will present the final product to everyone in the new year. We hope this could be an on going tribute, continually adding stories and media to the site.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact either one of us on our respective Facebook pages or at the email address provided above. Feel free to pass this on to anyone who you may know that has been there at a show, or met the boys etc. Help make this fan tribute to Led Zeppelin an Ultimate one!"

Does this or does this not include O2 stories (Since there are some great stories to be told bout that, ask Front Row Dave for instance)

Try to find Strider's threads here bout his concert memories from the seventies, he is an amazing writer.

^ it says 68-80, the period during which the band existed, nobody needs to hear stories about 02 because the DVD has been released now and eveybody now knows more than they could possibly need to about this show, which most true Zep fans don't think of as a proper Led Zeppelin show anyway

As my initial post says, we are looking for people who were there during Led Zeppelin's career (1968-1980), this DOES NOT include the O2 show, since John Bonham was not there.

Exactly Old Shep. Thanks!!

There can not be a Led Zeppelin reunion without Mr. John Bonham.

Isn't this idea essentially what the Timeline section of the official site already is? People posting their recollections of shows?

A shame we can't contact some of the people who've posted, though, because in some of the comments some people appear to have taped some shows that never got circulated.
