A bit old fashioned B. East coast It dates from the days when the British Navy found out that eating limes (the green citrus fruit) helped to stop scurvy. (They are packed with vitamin C, a lack of which causes scurvy) British ships always had a large store of them and sailors had to eat them every day. So the American folk of the time used to call them Limeys and the name stuck. Back on topic I'm from East London, England but, no, I couldn't hear the gig from my house.
