Paul
After viewing the pre-order pics, it appears that this will not include the white paper band, which was part of the original HotH release. Any comments!
cobykruize
I bought this album in de the mid seventies. I still have this copy but there was"nt a white paper band on it. On the outer sleeve was"nt mentioned anything about the group or title. But I know what you mean, I also remenber copies with a white paper band on which the bands name and the title where mentioned. ksgemini
Wasn't the band added to censor the kids on the cover?
geekfreak
not sure if that's true but yes there was a band with the bands name on it, but will that stop you buying it, well for me that's a big NO!.
andrew r
The "band " was an obi strip modelled after the japanese style of adding info to Japanese releases.Jimmy first saw them on the 71 tour of Japan and allegedly saw a way of adding one to allow a Zep 4 like clean cover while retaining info. I am really dismayed that it has not made the re releases it was one of the defining design cues of that particular release.
Led Zeppelin Fan00
Wasn't the band added to censor the kids on the cover? Yes, and to simultaneously let people know the name of the band (at the behest of Atlantic)... Like the 4th album - it was the band's intention to omit the band's identity from the front and back covers.
