So I'll take this in the two bits here. 1) Favorite guitarists other than Page would have to be Jeff Martin (The Tea Party, Charles ) Dave Grohl Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) Kevin Parker (Tame Impala) Pete Townshend Jack White Joe Bonamassa David Gilmour Jordan Cook (Reignwolf) 2) guitarists better than Page lol none, Page is honestly the best to my ears. Nothing I've ever heard other people do can compare to what Page can do. And like Charles said, Jeff Martin is like a Jimmy part 2 Wow, seeing someone mention the Tea Party hah. Good to see such an eclectic taste on here They were a great band that I enjoyed many moons ago. If anyone wants to hear a Zeppelin/Jim Morrison fusion, listen their song "The River". He is not the greatest guitarist, but certainly one of the most inventive and original. That solo on Foxhole is like nothing I've ever heard. plantfan
ALL of Percy's guitarists were truly and exceptionally great, and therefore my favorites! Does no one here recognize that Robert ALWAYS has the best musicians? Aside from Jimmy Page, we have: Robbie Blunt, Francis Dunnery, Kevin Scott MacMichael, and Justin Adams, to name a few-- all world-class! However, the most underrated guitarist of ALL TIME might just be Doug Boyle. One critic said Boyle played like "Jimmy Page on steroids." Anyone who has heard Boyle's guitar solos will understand why! percyandpagey
Johnny Winter is definitely my favourite guitar player besides Page. The energy, speed, and originality of his guitar playing just don't compare to anyone else.
