If You Could Own A Piece Of Led Zeppelin...

Recommended Posts

If money was no object, what Zeppelin related object would you like to have?

Would it be a first pressing of Led Zeppelin I? A guitar pick from Jimmy Page from the Led Zeppelin II Tour. Would it be a ticket souvenir from 1970? A Tour Shirt from 1971? Robert's jeans from the 73 tour? If you could have it what would it be?

I'd like to go back in time....to 1975, with a digital camera. I took pictures at Earls Court, unfortunately it was on a crappy Zenit SLR, none of them turned out, apart from the one my friend took of me whilst we were hitch-hiking to London. That was a piece of Led Zeppelin history for me.

I always wanted to go back in time with a legit camera from today and get some awesome photos/videos. But that's a bit off topic!!

To answer the question, it'd be Bonzo's Green Sparkle Ludwig kit and the master tapes to everything.

In a dream world, I'd love either Jimmy's double neck guitar or his Number One Les Paul.

On a (somewhat) realistic note, I really want a bracelet made from one of Jimmy's used guitar strings.

Sam, can we make that happen?! :)

My number one choice would be the Dragon Tele, but since it no longer exists his 52' Botswana Brown B-Bender Tele. Number two would be his #3 Les Paul, I have never seen a LP with that colour before and believe me I have looked.

Now for the impossible dream, Boleskine House. This more than anything else though I would not turn down his old Pangbourne Home.

I'll take the bow, with the bow hair, that Jimmy used for the Boston Tea Party concert in 1969, the one that Steven Tyler raves about.

If not that, then I'll take --all-- of the recording tapes from the Led Zeppelin II sessions... That's all.. :D

Have you been there? I've gone a few times. The view from Boleskine overlooking the loch is majestic, and the Scots in that area are ridiculously kind and friendly, but I find the property and lodge itself to be rather ordinary. There are some paranormal issues there as well. I'm partial to Plumpton Place and Horselunges Manor on account of their tranquil surroundings and their moats. I have always wanted to live in a moated estate, which must come as no surprise to many.

For me, I would want Robert and Jimmy's music collection. I can only imagine how much great music they have and it would probably allow me to listen to music that I may never had heard of.

^^Some great stuff listed though:-) :peace:

Unfortunately no, though I am planning to go there next spring to visit the UK and France. The wife and I have a friend who lives in Brittany so we will be staying with him and his family on that particular leg but for the UK part I will be hitting all the spots, Tower House, Plumpton, Horselunges, Pangbourne, and of course Boleskine.

Last time I was in the UK was 94' and I backpacked through Europe back in the late 80's so I have always been partial to the out of the way, cheap lodgings. Just hope I don't find myself in the middle of an American Werewolf in London scenario.

I'll play.

In no particular order:

1. Pontiac Silverdome video tape

2. Houston Summit video tape

3. SBD for 06.21.1977

4. SBD for 7.20.1977

5. A complete set of all the backstage passes Zeppelin ever used

As said before, Page's '75 dragon suit would be amazing to have!! I would wear it 24/7! The master tapes as well. Plant's jeans as well.. hahaha!! ANYTHING from 1968 besides Spokane, Denver perhaps?!

I did get to see a guitar the other night with the 3 remaining members autographs! Had my picture taken with it! :) that's sadly the closest I will probably get to the band. It was at a casino here in Colorado, went there to see Slaughter perform! Awesome show!

That's not bad nick. Closer than many have gotten. Also, I'm wondering what Slaughter opened with. ;)

I was also considering that Number One. But I'd settle for Black Beauty, only to be able to present it back to Jimmy in person.
