Oh Jimmy! Oh Jimmy! Happy birthday Mr. Jimmy! 74 years old...who'd a thunkit?

I'll be playing my Zeppelin records...and the Yardbirds, Firm, Plant & Page, Black Crowes & Page, Lord Sutch and his Heavy Friends, Donovan, Nico, Joe Cocker, and the Goldfinger soundtrack.

This was from Jeff Beck's twitter account:

Very nice post Sean and agree.  Hope you had the day off from work to get all the music you wanted to play on JPs 74th in!  He is 74 and I don't see much possibility of him recording and/or playing live.  Now with Zep's 50th and a lot of work to do on the official book, live release and who knows what else.  He was quite active through 2000 and not much since, which is quite sad as he was only 56 back then.  I think a bit late now unfortunately!

Old man, look at my life
I'm a lot like you were
Old man, look at my life
I'm a lot like you were

Old man, look at your life
74 and there's so much more
Live alone in a paradise
That makes me think of two
Love lost, such a cost
Give me things that don't get lost
Like a coin that won't get tossed
Rolling home to you

Old man, take a look at my life
I'm a lot like you
I need someone to love me
The whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes
And you can tell that's true

Lullabies, look in your eyes
Run around the same old town
Doesn't mean that much to me
To mean that much to you
I've been first and last
Look at how the time goes past
But I'm all alone at last
Bringing it on home to you

The great thing about my job is that I can blast whatever I want all day long.

The day went like this...

Jimmy Page "Hip Young Guitar Slinger"

Screaming Lord Sutch "Lord Sutch and Heavy Friends"

Donovan "Sunshine Superman"

Joe Cocker "With a Little Help From My Friends"

Yardbirds "Live '68"

Led Zeppelin "Royal Albert Hall January 9, 1970"

Roy Harper "Stormcock"

Led Zeppelin "Dazzling Daze 2: July 24, 1979 Copenhagen"

The Firm "Cleveland May 11, 1986 FM Radio Broadcast"

Page & Plant "Hollywood Bowl October 1998"

Black Crowes & Page "Greek Theatre 1999"

Led Zeppelin "Celebration Day: Dec. 10, 2007"
