Zepcoda is on board too.  And Esther, (EBK) is smokin the gonge.  Not even Mr Caruthers has the Oysters to pick Miami.  EBK picks Miami?  Why may I ask?  For Gods sake.  If they win my Eliminator pick and millions of others will go up in flames.

Why?  Because that's where the dart landed when I threw it. :-)

I love the first week...not a lot of math required!

Here are the results for Week 1 of the pool. I know you will be shocked at this news but jb126 finished first for the week...in a tie with Junior. A little more faith in her Patriots and jb126 would have won the week outright.

Ahhhh, but it's good to get that first week under your belt, eh?

Week 1 Results

jb126: 11-5*

Junior: 11-5*

Houses of the Holy: 10-6

Mrs. W: 10-6

Strider: 10-6

ebk: 9-7

in_the_evening: 9-7

jabe: 9-7

paul carruthers: 9-7

LedZeppfan77: 8-8

Walter: 7-9

zepscoda: 6-10

Bong-Man: 2-14

Buffalo (Not sure I give a fuck who wins)

NY Giants

Detroit

Dallas (against my better judgment, I'm going with the Boys )

Kansas City

New England (Until further notice, the Pats own everyone in the East)...

Baltimore

Carolina

Pittsburgh (Are the Steelers a dark horse pick for the Super Bowl)...

Arizona

Seattle (I still can't used to "Los Angeles" Rams yet)

Oakland

San Diego

Denver

Green Bay

Chicago (Could be another dog of a Monday game, but those are par for the course)...

Just a reminder folks...there is a game tonight (Jets @ Bills stinker), so get your pick in for tonight's game at least and you can worry about the weekend games tomorrow.

For those who have trouble remembering it might behoove you set your account settings to "follow" this thread so you get regular notifications about the pool.

Buffalo...giving Rick's team another chance.

New Orleans...for Brett, for Ddladner, for Deborah J...and because I think the Giants are always up and down early in the season. This could be one of those "last team with the ball wins" type of games.

Detroit...How long has Stafford been in the league and we are still waiting for the Lions to step up and be a consistent winner. Bong-Man are you going to the home-opener?

Dallas...Taters looked absolutely dreadful and Kirk Cousins looked more like .50 cent man instead of $100 million. In Dak we trust.

Kansas City

New England...Yes, Garoppolo is no Tom Brady. But then, neither is Carson Palmer...and Tannehille damn sure ain't. In retrospect, the Patriots win over Arizona shouldn't be a surprise. Give Bellichick all summer to prepare and what do you expect?

Baltimore...Cleveland is the most incompetent franchise in sports. Pass on Carson Wentz for RGIII (the human MRI)? Way to go Brownies!

Carolina

Pittsburgh...early tussle to see who is for real in AFC North. I trust the Bungles about as far as I can throw 'em.

Arizona...was last year a fluke?

Seattle...Paul, I agree...so weird typing LA after St. Louis all those years.

Oakland...if the Raiders are for real they gotta win this home opener.

San Diego...as much as it pains me.

Denver...Jesus, another hated rival I am picking today (I picked KC, SD, Den, and Pitt)!

Green Bay

Philadelphia...At first I was picking Chicago...it's a MNF home opener and all...but fuck it, I cannot stand Jay Cutler and maybe the Eagles have turned over a new leaf after all.

Yes, go with Junior! :P

I wanted to take the Bills.  They are tough at home, have beaten the Jets the last 5 times they've played, and the Rex revenge factor.  But I think the Jets have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball - just their qb chokes the chicken....
