somehow I think Jimmy just doesn't give a fuck.   He beat the bastards and thieves  in the industry and did it HIS way.

That's awesome and sums it up perfectly, imho. Zep copped stuff from blues artists, just like every band that came out in the 80's was doing their best Zeppelin. Musicians have  copied others long before Zeppelin. There is a guy out now name Hugo that does a cover of 99 Problems. Robert Plant should take that boy to task for stealing every aspect of his style. Then again, Percy gained a lot from the legendary Steve Marriott as well. Point is, nobody starts yelling about this stuff until they want to turn a buck. In this particular case, who's to say? Why didn't Relf take him to court when he could?

Agree totally, except Zep could come very close to aping a variety of blues styles, if they wanted to. The bands in the 80's

on the other hand IMO never even got near sounding close to Zep, unless you're talking about fashion, which made

those bands look comical. It is great how the normally shy Page, even before Zep, would actually inquire how the hell

the Birds did a ? 1 month tour of the states , each member getting like ( sorry, don't exactly remember) 115 pounds

or something, that's it. Then someone labeled Page a troublemaker. Giorgio Gomelsky ???
