Mr_K
How will the European copyright law speed up the release of new and previously unheard Zeppelin recordings? It looks like the group may be encouraged to release a whole catalog of live material to keep their rights to the music. See below. This may be what we, Zeppelin fans, need to open up a back log in the vaults. Any lawyers/soothsayers out there please comment. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/10-legendary-rock-bootlegs-likely-to-finally-see-release-w448931/led-zeppelin-spokane-december-28th-1968-w448977
Mr_K
Oops. Now I see the topic already started in the following: ""Starting 2019, will Jimmy open the vaults?". Hope he does. Cheers!
greenman
I don't think you'll see something like that 68 Spokane show get an official release personally, the quality just isn't there.

No, but there are boots that imo are worthy of a release. Not just the best known like Listen to this Eddie, but San francisco 27/4/69 is commercial release quality, with a bit of cleaning up. The boys on smoking hot form that night. OT, but I'd love it if the bloke who (it's rumoured) has been sitting for years on a bootleg of Denver 26/12/68 finally released it. Or maybe it's sadly just a myth....
greenman
27/4/69 does have a few cuts in it and isn't perfect sound wise but yes I could potentially see stuff like that and the Texas Pop Festival being released by Page in the next couple of years.
