marolyn
It's over ----- the marathon wristband wearing has ended. May 27 / 2008 @ 6:50 PM It fell off today after being worn for 171 consecutive days. The memories are still as vivid as the day it all began. Amen sad day...burial with honors...
bigzepfan
sorry to hear of your loss. Your wristband: lived a long fulfilling life(much more than any other wristbands I've known). It entered you into the concert of the millennium. It probably even helped to get into the rehearsal show. Was a source of inspiration for many. shadowblue
Suffice to say I inexplicably snapped mine off when I got back to my room after the show. It, the ticket and a bunch of stuff from the trip had been kind of secreted away, almost too precious to look at (seems a bit like Nigel Tufnel in 'Spinal Tap' objecting to an unplayed guitar being pointed at ) But this week I got them all out and just had do to something. I glued the wristband to the front cover of my (softcover) program and then stuck my SYD-BKK and BKK-LHR boarding passes, my 10 Dec London Underground ticket and my Ahmet Ertegun Tribute ticket inside the front cover. Some might say I've defaced and devalued an otherwise mint condition program but it wasn't going anywhere out on my possession in my lifetime anyway. It speaks to me "you were there".
