Cactus
I don't want an argument. But I think that would depend on what kind of mood he's in. I've heard he's rather shy and quiet, you could end up being the one who does all the talking. Maybe you would talk with him....? What I mean is, you don't go into a conversation with Jimmy to tell anything - as you said, you react to him and his mood. He spends his whole life being himself, you can't project what you want from the interaction onto it...

I don't go up to my mum when she's having a bad day and say something about her looking old, or tell her about my brothers cigarette and porn stash hidden in the box his marching band hat is in. Virginia
No way. 5' 11" max. Some photos/footage of him onstage make his legs look really long, which probably makes him appear taller. Like in TSRTS, for instance.
alwizard03
Lucky you! I wish I could have seen Jimmy in person! I have a few things to tell him. Wish I could, though. And, no, it's not any of that I"m-lusting-for-you fan stuff. And not anything bad, either. I'd just like to talk to him as a person, that's all. Not a celebrity, but as a person. In my experiance you usually forget what you planned to tell either of them and wind up telling them something completley different and kicking yourself a little after the meeting has ended. SteveAJones
hahahaha I feel stupid. he should be 6'2". how about Robert? Robert is between 6' and 6' 1" now as indicated earlier in the thread. Jimmy was probably 6' to 6' 1/2" in the early 70s.

Band geeks and their porn. A fine and longstanding romance.

What I mean is, you don't go into a conversation with Jimmy to tell anything - as you said, you react to him and his mood. He has conversations every day with people who "tell him " things. I find this kind of over-reverential stuff really unsettling.
ledded1
I don't think you tell Jimmy Page anything, I think you listen to what he has to say... On the one time I met him I told him things and he listened and spoke back and told me things and we discussed led zeppelin and music and I listened, it was called a conversation. A weird concept I know
Cactus
What an original concept. Jimmy Page is actually a human being. He has conversations every day with people who "tell him " things. I find this kind of over-reverential stuff really unsettling. I didn't mean it like that....I meant that, as with any other person, you don't just go up to them and expect a conversation to go how you want it to go....you have to be open and respond to the other person as well, not just babble away about yourself. It would be rude if you did it to anyone, not just Jimmy Page. I don't mean you should bow down before him and wait for him to deign to converse with you. Just that you would treat him with the same respect you would anyone else, not just have a 1 sided conversation all about yourself.

california girl
I don't think you tell Jimmy Page anything, I think you listen to what he has to say... And you know this how? He doesn't strike me as the bossy type. But who is he really? After you strip away all the fame and glory? He's still a person, just like you and me. But I'd gladly listen to what he has to say. I've heard he's rather shy and quiet, you could end up being the one who does all the talking. I looked up his birthday on the chinese Zodiac. He was born in the year of the monkey. It says, "Many are entertained by the Monkey's good humor and mischievous spirit". It says a lot of other things that are so true of Jimmy, but that part stood out to me. According to the pictures I've seen of him, and his antics on stage, I think that fits him like a glove. Nothing could be more true. He's such a clown! I heard their live version of "Rock and Roll" yesterday, and Jimmy was playing the "Reville" when he was supposed to be playing his solo. It was the 1940's bugle call for the U.S. Army. Now that doesn't sound like a shy guy to me!
Rock Historian
I met JPJ a few years ago after a show he did at the HOB in New Orleans. We talked for a few minutes as he signed a few things for me and we took some pictures together (super nice guy by the way) I'm about 5'7" and he had a few inches on me. So if I had to guess, JPJ is around 5'8"-5'9 1/2". I would guess Jimmy's slightly under 6' with Robert and the late JB at about 6'2" judging off of all the pics I've seen of the band side by side. In the new pics from the O2, Jason B. looks about my height as well, he's not very tall.

NickZepp
All people lose a little bit of height during their life span, the spine is constantly crashing in on itself every day. It's such a small number that it's hardly noticeable. But everyone ends up really significently shorter in older age. If I were to guess Jimmy is probably about 5-10.5 to 5-11 right now. Robert being around 6-0 or 6-1 or so. During their primes Jimmy was probably in the 6-0 even area Robert was probably closer to 6-2 area. It seemed like Bonzo was usually the tallest member of the group judging from most pictures. But it's hard to tell in some others.
