As I predicted the Chinese pulled out all the stops and delivered 2 fantastic events. The only disappointment was the 8 minute handover section produced by the UK which was third rate at best. It had no sense of largesse, looked like it was a production for a small theatre and certainly did not show off the best of what the UK can produce. I do hope that the London Olympic Committee will start to hire some of the best creative and producing talent that flourish in the UK. What they used was definitely the ‘C’ team.
