So I got the book for Christmas and tried playing a couple of songs. Got discouraged because it's too advanced for me. Didn't play for a couple of weeks. Decided to pick a couple of simpler songs with a goal. America the beautiful and The Star Spangled Banner by 4th of July. Back to practice and patience.

Getting the party snacks set up to nibble on. Got some chips and salsa and cheese and crackers. A bottle of Moscato Spumante is being chilled on ice ready to pop open the cheer in the new year. The hubby is not much of a dancer so I'm looking to kick off my shoes and dance the night away. A big hug and kiss is in store for the hubby and whomever is close by. Got my Beatles for Vibraphone for Christmas. Time to learn some new songs. Still waiting for Led Zeppelin for Vibraphone.

Been practicing three months for the holiday season. My first recital will be at the family party Christmas Eve. Here's a little taste of my progress.

We made it.......the Mr. and me finally arrived. It's a wet and blustery evening out. Que the music. We're sauntering in the THE ROVER, my favorite and under played song. Everybody, " Just join hands" . It's so nice to be amongst fellow fanatics here. I brought a large bottle of Jack Daniels and a case of ginger ale. I'll be pouring drinks for whomever wants to join me until the bottle is dry. Excuse me first, I need to wheel in my musical instrument first and set up in the corner. I've been practicing. So enjoy my little holiday entertainment or grin and bear it.
