  1. I'm salivating, but for health reasons I gave up smoking eighteen months or so ago. I've tried a few different edibles but they don't really do it for me + I rely on my car a lot, don't want to risk a pull and fail a roadside test.

So looking at the sky re’ time of day , this sure doesnt seem like the sky described in the book to me !?

Seems earlier in the day ,

wheres the sun that was going down  & lights that should already been popping up one at a time ?

Sunset would have been around about  9 15 pm (21.15).

  3. Well that's the end of that one, the worst world cup in my memory, Qatar to host was a bad choice, it's winter ffs. The next one won't be much better, the CUM experiment (Canada, USA and Mexico), 2002 Japan/Korea was bad enough but three countries hosting ?

Fucking hell Rick, does your name have a silent P in front of it?

Firstly: The "PK" as you call it. "England shouldn't have let Kane take the second kick" He buried the first one in the corner of the net and he is England's penalty taker. What did you think should have happened? Pickford take it?

Secondly: What have we got against Argentina? Do you not know your history regarding the Argies and the English in World Cups? MARADONAS Hand of God goal. The fat, cheating coke sniffing cunt, knocked us out by punching the ball into the net in 1986. He said it was God who helped him and it was an atonement for the Falklands War in 1982 when we kicked their arses in a conflict over the disputed territory. Though then again you probably don't.

Let's agree on one point. You know less about Football than I know about the NFL, which is less than Nuclear Physics. You constantly get upset because someone misses a penalty or a team performs badly, as it fucks up your betting. Please stick to the egg shaped ball and body armour.

Finally if you think this World Cup was of little interest to the average fan ( reasons I don't need to explain), then when it reaches for your shores in 4 years, it will be even worse. Cheerleaders, endless ads for Coke and Budweiser and penalties if there is a draw? Please...........

You've given me a real chuckle there CP, a rare thing for me of late, cheers.

I might put them on out of shear nothing else to do at that time of day. But I could care less either.  England should have won.  I do not know how Kane just kicks the ball into the stands. Makes you wonder. Maybe they paid him.  Fucking bullshit. Outplayed them.  Outshot them.  I would go to another goalie next time in 4 years in America.  Pickford could have played position far better on that first goal. Their goalie stopped to lazers going to the upper corner of the net.  Pickford did make one real good save. But the France goalie robbed England blind. Croatia has a great goalie and I am pretty sure Denmark does too.  Leicester City goalie last I knew?  I would go to someone else.  Pickford not bad.  But need a change of luck.  I think he was caught too far to the left on that goal

I guess I hope Argentina wins.

It's not a given that a penalty awarded will be a penalty scored, look at Brazil, how many did they miss in their shoot out, three ? Imagine the pressure Kane was under, to me he looked nervous, I just knew he would miss and he skied it, well over the bar, nerves got the better of him.

    Agreed.

Not to sound like sour grapes or anything, France set out their stall to stop England playing quick football. Coupled with the fact that there was the WORST referee in the history of the game officiating, the odds were stacked against us. Nobody wants the English to win. Quite how that fucking idiot of a ref (and VAR) didn't give a penalty on Kane was beyond me. Saka was fouled prior to the opening goal but he just waved play on. There were many soft decisions in that game. I mean the twat never even gave us the second penalty without the help of VAR. I will not be watching any more football until the Premier league starts back up after the season of commercialism. Couldn't give a flying fuck who wins the Cup

Bang on CP,  the Saka foul was I believe forty seconds before the France goal, play should have stopped for a VAR review. I'm done too, will not be watching the remaining three games.

  7. I'm not superstitious (honest) but last nights game had the curse of "itv" but England lose more games that are broadcast by "itv" than The BBC.  Iirc the percentages are something like 8 out of 10 are wins on a BBC broadcast wheras "itv" it's the complete opposite. 8 out of 10 are losses.

Anyway, Kane's second penalty, I just knew he was going to miss it, even said so to misses JTM. It was then just a wait for the final whistle and the inevitable tears, I didn't hang around to find out, as soon as the whistle blew I changed channels, I hate "itv". I couldn't care less who take the cup, wouldn't surprise me if it was Morocco with their brick wall defence.

Time to get back to real proper footie, The Prem, fuck international football.

Cannot believe the American sheeple want two more years of liberal destruction of our economy and country!  Well, it looks like the people of Pennsylvania truly did elect someone who represents them - a brain impaired criminal coddler.

I wonder if Citeh will ever match Man U/Lverpool's league title records (20/19). Or will the money run out first.

Oh man, that sucks. Ricky is my favourite member of the Brian Jonestown Massacre. Not only is he one of the original founding members, but it was his return in the mid-2000s along with the addition of Dan Allaire on drums that helped resuscitate the band during the "Dig"-era malaise. A lot of people who go see BJM try to stand in front of Anton or Joel but I always go towards Ricky's side of the stage. That warm 12-string sound of his is crucial to the band's sound. I hope he is reunited with his beautiful Gibson E335 12 soon.

Ricky has posted that Portland Police have recovered his Gibson, but not it’s flight case containing custom made effects pedals.
