  1. Little Feat and Hot Tuna tonight. Robert Plant & Alison Krauss tomorrow.
  2. Ozzy made his first public appearance since his surgery when he came to San Diego Comic-Con for a few hours yesterday. I think he was signing posters but you could only get a place in the autograph line by a lottery and I was shut out. If you weren’t in the autograph line security wouldn’t let people stand around and wait to see him, so I kept walking back and forth figuring I would at least get a glimpse when he arrived. He showed up in the back of a golf cart and I was only a few feet away but the crowd swarmed in and I only got a couple of crappy pictures. I couldn’t see him get out of the cart in the signing area so I don’t know how well he was walking but he must have been feeling pretty good if he made the trip. He hadn’t been to Comic-Con before but I think he fit right in.
  3. I attended the Jan. 29 Bjork show too. I had seen her with the Sugarcubes a long time ago but not on her own. I’m really glad I finally did. Great show! I have other tickets but I’m already getting postponement and cancellation notices so who knows who I’ll get to see next.
  4. I think G&R were playing at the Banc of California Stadium not SoFi so that might be why the traffic wasn't horrible. Anyway, I saw the Black Crowes in San Diego on Wednesday and really enjoyed the show too. They played Hey Hey What Can I Do for an encore. It's great to go back to concerts again.

    Official Mascot

That’s an interesting fun fact. Several years ago a newly discovered velvet spider that lives underground was named after Lou Reed. “loureedia” There is also a spider named after David Bowie but I don’t think it was discovered on Mars.🙂 Anyway, thanks for posting that!
  6. Like a couple of the other posters here, I would also like to see a Led Zeppelin show from early in their career. If I'm choosing an artist I never got to see at all, then the top two are The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix. Even though The Beatles were drowned out by the audience noise, just the experience of seeing them in person would be tremendous. In other words, if the choices were: (1) never got to see The Beatles or (2) saw The Beatles but the sound sucked, I would still go with (2). With Jimi Hendrix, seeing the original Experience would be my first choice but I would be ecstatic to see him any night with any of his bands. I've seen a lot of concerts but there are so many more I wish I had seen. If I had a TARDIS that was restricted to transporting me to concerts I would be happy. No paradoxes, no disrupting of the space-time continuum, just seeing lots of concerts.
  7. It looks like it will be a good read! I checked out your website too. I like seeing photos of visits to LZ related places.
  8. That whole weekend leading up to the show was so much fun. Starting when I stepped off the plane and the immigration agent asked how long I was staying. When I replied I was going home on Dec. 11 he asked in a dry tone if I was there for the Led Zeppelin concert. The gatherings the night before the concert, even the long wait to pick up ticket and wristband and then wait again in the merchandise line just built up the buzz and anticipation. Finally, standing in the crowd on the arena floor witnessing such a wonderful show. Truly, a spectacular adventure. Still hard to believe it was ten years ago.
  9. The Beach Boys last night at the Hollywood Bowl.
