    Robert Plant June2018 tour

Hey everyone! Does anyone know which of Robert's summer North American shows have Pre-Sale? and how to get the codes for them?. I know the festival performances obviously won't have presale, but besides that, it seems like everything is coming out on sale on varying days. It's been really hard keeping track. Thanks and much appreciated. Also, How are people able to get VIP for these shows? I noticed for the tour he just wrapped up here in the USA he would do VIP right after the show ended and when I tried ask people who had the VIP wristbands how they got them, one told me they purchased it. Is this true? and how does one purchase this? Would really like to buy my kid one if he does this again for his June tour. Thanks Again for the help

  7. Hi! so I'm pretty new to forums like these and this is a little embarrassing to talk about but...I'm a girl who is a HUGE Robert fan and I'm lucky enough to have good seats to see him for one of his upcoming shows for his tour for the newest album. It's my first time seeing him live. I'm just wondering what my chances are of trying to meet the guy. I really just want to thank him for being such an awesome musician. It seems that it's really hard during this current tour to see him before or after the show, I don't go to many concerts so I don't really know how these things work. Anyone mind helping me understand that? I remember reading on here where a fan met him several times around his hotel. Like... how do you even find his hotel? the guy just seems so careful about that.. That is astonishing to me. Plus I don't think i want to follow the poor man to his hotel : that's a bit creepy. If I don't get to meet him, it's fine but I just don't get how other people get to since he seems to avoid dealing with fans by the stage door..
  8. I noticed you avoided the 160% figure....because he wasn't responsible for that, right ?  And Trump hasn't pulled away from the table yet.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/31/trump-cites-401k-gains-in-speech-yet-most-workers-dont-have-one.html

Trump's estate was 250-300 million, but that doesn't include 600M in real estate holdings that were sold and split.

You embarrassed yourself, but I'll only tell you that in private according to Sam's wishes.  Have a nice day !

He wasn't responsible for the last 8 years, I don't understand why he would be or why you would suggest he is? Or bring that up? Our growth post recession was significantly less than post recession growth ought to have been by a long shot. Gdp growth was an embarrassment the last 8 years, when it usually skyrockets after a recession. Please explain to me how Trump's real estate was not included in Trump's estate. That would be news to me. Please cite a source. Also, it remains completely irrelevant to the fact that the inheritance took place in 1999, long after Trump made his mark.

Also, 401ks are only one way in which people participate. Pension funds are the most important way. Middle America retirement relies on the stock market. Even so, 33% of people who can participate do, according to the article you just posted. What exactly are you arguing against? Those people doing better?

    Harmonica

Like quite a bit of Plant’s Post Zep material & admire him even more that he’s still hungry to try new things & walking the walk with his Touring. One frustration is he never seems to play Harmonica on this stuff & we all know how outstanding he is when he plays (never better than on “when the levee breaks”) His latest band lends itself perfectly for him to blow some harp, yet Nothing. Any suggestions why?
  13. What is the best Led Zeppelin concert recording or bootleg?
  14. I was reading the biography Robert Plant: A Life by Paul Rees. I don't consider it to be a very trustworthy source, as I've already found several inaccuracies and Rees doesn't cite his sources in a way that be easily be checked. However, some of the stories in here are just too entertaining and funny that I'd just like them to be true. Like this one: On page 57 in Chapter 4, Rubber Man, Rees mentions (with no quotes or indication of any source) that Robert went to see The Who at the Kidderminster Town Hall in May (of 1966, I think, possibly 1967. Rees only says the month but was talking about 1966 previously) and at the gig Pete Townshend sang lead vocals because apparently Roger Daltey had walked out and after the show Robert waited for Pete and offered to sing for The Who. Has anyone ever heard this before or have any sources on it? Like I said before, I don't trust this book, most of the stories about his life prior to Zeppelin seem to be based on rumors and word of mouth from acquaintances mixed in with a few actual coversations with Robert, so I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't founded in reality but I was curious in case it was. Thanks! (also I appalogize if this is in the wrong place. I just joined and this is my first post after stalking the forum a bit without being signed up. I did look to see if there was already a thread I could add to and I found the book one, but there wasn't a lot of discussion in that thread and I didn't want to change the format. So please let me know if I should post my questions somewhere else.)

    Plant & Johnson Doc.

Enjoyed hearing Robert so clearly relaxed & enjoying life on the Sky Arts Docu. Surprised & disappointed he referred to "Page" rather than the familiar "Jimmy" when discussing previous post Zep collaborations. Why would he do that?
  16. So, I had been wishing that Zeppelin would tour one last time so I could see them once, missed them as a kid and kicking myself for it. I figure they wouldn't be as good as they were 20 years ago, but still, cool. I have been keeping track of the back & forth between Plant & Page about reuniting and was frustrated by the outcome. HOWEVER, I have been listening to alot of Plant's later work and came up with a theory; Was Plant ever really into the harder, "metal" type hard rock? Most of the work he's done has been slower blues, folk, and nearly country music as with Alison Krauss. NOTE: I love this later work, so this isnt a slam on it! So, to you folks out there that know Plant better, what do you think? Thank you!

    UK Visit

Hello all, I will be visiting the United Kingdom this May. I want to take advantage of the trip and find places to visit that have significance in relation to Led Zeppelin. Whether it be venues they have played, places they have lived, or museums. Please let me know!
  20. So far there are already a couple of gigs booked, and who knows how things develop, but here's to great (new?!) music being enjoyed by audiences wherever Robert plays whether solo or with the Sensational Space Shifters So there are the two dates at the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow: January 31 and February 1, 2016 as part of a tribute to Bert Jansch. Proceeds go to the Bert Jansch Foundation. And in March, Robert and SSS will perform at the Okeechobee Festival in Florida (March 4, 5, 6, 2016). http://okeechobeefest.com/#aloompa-lineup
  21. Radio documentary here with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant talking about formation and the history of Led Zeppelin, along with Noddy Holder from Slade and former Melody Maker editor Chris Charlesworth. http://www.thisdayinmusic.com/pages/led_zeppelin_story
  22. Has anyone here heard this concert? It has pitifully few views for such a GREAT performance-- perhaps because it lacks video! Please check it out, and tell us what you think!
  23. Hi all, first post! I've noticed that Robert Plant has made a drawing to support The Big Draw charity. It got me wondering, what other artwork has been created personally by the band? So thought it might be fun if everyone shared their pictures of Led Zeppelin artwork, or examples of any other art the band made outside music. By the way the bidding on the Robert Plant drawing is only at £100 at the moment, so it might be a good opportunity for any passionate Zep fans! What do you think is the story behind this drawing?
