I never liked Ska, and really found the singer on this annoying....so much so that it kept me tense the entire time I listened. But since it provoked such a reaction I can't give it anything less than a, -5

Love that tune - I have it on many chilled compilations. An excellent choice as one comes to expect. So for that reason: A relaxed and horizontal 9

This very chilled track was given to me by a great mate who sadly passed away a few years ago. He compiled a mix tape and this was the opener to the decaffeinated side of the tape

We took this travelling to India in the 90's and it still is the benchmark for spaced out, chilled weed music.

^ Good band. Sound a lot like Leningrad Cowboys. Eastern European zydeco. 7/10.

It's a toss-up for me between this, the original version and the Amy Winehouse version.

A video that is actually fun to watch. And Abi Harding!

^0 - Vile & Offensive - especially the lyric "I've missed your ginger hair".......but hang on a sec, three versions? oh yes, the Steve Winwood original! I prefer that.

Lightweight formula driven pop with no real hooks or appeal otherwise. Generic. Vanilla. But i am feeling generous, 4/10.

And this? My ears say it's a totally different song. And quite inferior at that. Poor even by overproduced 80's standards. Enjoy!

I really hate this. A once great vocalist resorting to 80's pop shite. eeeeemmmm Robert Plant? errr sorry. And the score from the UK Judge: A Solid 0

Here is an uptempo ditty from Underground hairy, anarchist band The Pink Fairies from 1970 (ish). Heavy

Sounds like a demo. It makes me wonder how many of those type of bands were out there during the early to mid '70s that just got lost in time, slipping into obscurity....interesting, the guitar sound has a Tom Shultz Rock man vibe to it.... 3+/10

This tune is better listened to very stoned...that's how it was written and recorded ;)

^It's interesting that you think the Pink Fairies sounded like a demo because i'm thinking this sounds like excessive production covering up the fact that there isn't much of a song underneath. Too close to soundscape muzak for my tastes. "Echoes" by Pink Floyd probably does for me what this does for you. This enhances your buzz while killing mine. To each his own, of course. 5/10

Love this Dead song. I have it on a show from the Fillmore East April 1971. We often play it and dance around whilst having a smoke. A "high" 9 for that one

Keeping the vibe going......

Love this tune, like many of my generation, the first exposure to the song was the Judas Priest version, and due to that fact and the memories it conjures up when heard, I am partial to the Priest. But I really do like this too....7+/10.

Excellent tune. Love the soul vibe with a seriously sexy bass line. 9/10. Thought I would keep the soul feeling going with this live version of a great tune:

Sorry, not a big fan of theirs.

How about this one?

I give that a 6/10. I respect the music and talent involved in creating it, but don't particularly care for it. Too wistful and "millennial" for me, if that makes sense. I don't get any passion behind it.

Speaking of wistful... how about this one?
