After a successful campaign last year for Record Store Day, Canadian rock legends Rush are again partnering with independent retail for an exclusive 10-inch picture disc for Black Friday - November 29. The 10-inch includes two versions of "The Garden" - the closing track from Rush's 2012 album "Clockwork Angels". Side A features the studio version from the album, while Side B includes a live version of the song with the Clockwork Angels String Ensemble taken from the upcoming live release "Clockwork Angels Tour".

Designed by Crankbunny (Norma V. Toraya), the 10-inch features artwork from her stunning animated screen projections shown during the performance of "The Garden" during the "Clockwork Angels" tour.

This special 10-inch will be limited and available only for this special celebration of independent music retailers.

David Bottrill produced Vapor Trails remixed. On the first lead break of the song "Ceiling Unlimited", he uncovered and included an Alex Lifeson guitar solo (at the 4:00 minute mark), I'm glad he included it.
Here's the new one with the uncovered guitar solo

Here's the original

You can hear a lot of stuff you could not hear on the original Vapor Trails album, David Bottrill did a great job. Edited by luvlz2

Thanks for the info on this. Love that song, especially live! Very much looking forward to the DVD release from the tour - it was visually and musically brilliant, IMO.

I agree, I am definitely going to get to my local record store early on November 29th to get the vinyl picture disc. A theatrical showing of Rush's Clockwork Angels Tour concert film is now on FanDango and other movie listing websites throughout the US. Check your local theaters to see if it is coming to your area. http://www.fandango.com/rushclockworkangelstour_168772/movieoverview

Thanks for the information. It is showing in Plano, Texas on Monday, November 18, 2013. I am going to go. As far as I know, the Clockwork Angels Tour concert film was filmed at the second to the last concert (I believe) here in Dallas. I attended that concert and it was brilliant and amazing. All Rush fans know that Rush never disappoints when they tour.
