Francis Ford Coppola: Godfather, Godfather Part 2, Godfather Part 3... George Lucas: Star Wars. Most of US grew up on the whole Star Wars Trilogy. Quentin Tarantino: Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Inglorious Bastards... Brian DePalma: Blowout, Scarface, Carlito's Way... Oliver Stone: Platoon, Wall Street, the Doors... If You Love movies as much as I do, then I am sure that You can "enlighten" Us and post who Your favorite Directors are. Any movie, any Director, any decade, any genre. Magic Fills the Air Posted September 25, 2010 Share Posted September 25, 2010 My favourite, Anthony Minghella (Truly, Madly, Deeply, The English Patient, The Talented Mr Ripley), sadly no longer with us. I also like Jane Campion (The Piano, Bright Star) and Peter Weir (Dead Poets Society, Witness, Master and Commander). I liked George Lucas when he did the original Star Wars films, but the new ones were are a travesty of the originals and a real let down in my opinion, and I haven't forgiven him! Eyes Wide Shut though was awful. A while back on TV they showed his film 'Killer's Kiss' and I think it's a classic in the film noir style. My only ?? is why he took the girl back after she finked on him. But the New York locations make the film along with the black & white.
