Howard and Joe have been friends for a long time. Henley made Joe stop coming in for a while there and was very pissed when he sang Desperado on Stern's show years ago. Glad you liked it deb. I heard it a couple of times on replay and appreciate you posting it!

But I Try, by Little Richard & The James Gang

^^Hi Walter and DAS:-)

 to you also.

I probably should have named this thread DAS and Deborah J talk about Joe Walsh. lol

Little Richard sounds good for his age don't he? It's a shame this isn't on the vinyl version.

I checked the Barnes and Noble close to my home about a week before the new album was released. They told me they had no copies on order and would not be carrying the album. I had them special order the deluxe edition and when I went in to pick it up the weekend after the album was released I said to the woman at the music counter I couldn't believe they weren't going to carry the album. She got all worked that they weren't going to carry Joe Walsh and said she wanted the album and said she would fix it. She was trying to order copies for the store as I was walking out. I saved an entire Barnes and Noble from being Analog Manless.

Joe Walsh Fishbone

Yesterday I had to get up at 3:45AM to leave by 5AM to get ahead of the traffic (The only negative thing about Atlanta is the traffic!!), anyway at that time of the morning you can drive, not to much traffic for the most part, I had this CD playing and of course you know I always keep every LZ CD in the car. Talk about making the ride fun!!!

Hi Deb! Hope all is well in Hotlanta...:) Just finished making a Joe Walsh compilation disc for the car and boy is it getting harder with this new material. Picked 5 from it, but could've picked more! Only picked songs that he sings, not songs that he just plays on.

Any word on tour dates for him?

That isn't a new recording, it was cut in 1970 when Little Richard was 38 years old. This is a quote from Joe Walsh which is included as part of the YouTube description for the clip:

"I found this is an old box of tapes I had. It is a recording of The James Gang jamming with Little Richard in Cleveland, Ohio about 1970. Me on guitar, Jimmy Fox on drums, Dale Peters on bass and featuring Little Richard at his best. I remember we played a couple of shows in the Midwest with LR and, I think, Chuck Berry on the same bill and on a day off in Cleveland we decided to go into Cleveland Recording and mess around. We did a few songs, but this is the only one that survived. I called LR for permission to include it on Analog Man and he said "It makes me wanna go out in the yard and yell LAWDY LAWDY!" Little Richard is one of the true founding fathers of rock & roll and a huge influence and inspiration to every musician I know including me. It's an honor to know him and to be able to share this magical moment in time with all of you. God bless you LR! Thank you."

They're listed on his website here.

Thanks Jahfin! I can't believe they built a casino in the town next to where I went to college! It's one of his tour dates....

He's playing close to me but I'm gonna hold out for some James Gang tour dates. Of course he's gonna have to work around the Eagles' schedule to do it but I feel like it'll be worth the wait.

^ This is probably his most underrated song. It's a great guitar song and Roy Buchanan did an instrumental version that was as good as the original.

The Bomber!

Yes, he made this song while with James Gang.
