Happy Halloween!

So it's my 10th Halloween at my current job, and of course I never fail to come to work appropriately.

When you shave your head, head wounds are mandatory, and I do some variation every year.

This year, I still had some leftover decals from last year to get it started.

But then I went to the Halloween store last night and got this stuff called Creepy Skin, and it's perfect!

It's kind of an oily, waxy mixture with some fiber (cotton?) mixed in to give it some more consistency.

You just mold it however you want to create ridges, bumps, flaps, etc. as needed.

It adds just the right touch of depth and realism necessary to any good head wound!

Finish it out with fake blood accents, and you're ready for the Emergency Room!

And yes, the one over my left ear has a somewhat vaginal appearance, but I'm still satisfied with the overall results.

So, post some pics of your Halloween transformation!

Type O, geez - you're hardcore, man! That's disturbingly realistic. I've gotten squeamish in my old age.

Very realistic Type O in fact at first glance I thought they were real

LOL, thanks!

Seriously, this just happened -

A woman who is an Army Captain and Nurse at the Base Hospital just came into our office requesting some information.

After talking to her, she finally asked me, "Is that a burn?"

I was actually surprised and asked what she meant.

She pointed to my head and asked again, "did you get burned somehow?"

I started laughing and told her it wasn't real, that it was just for Halloween.

She did a double-take and started laughing, saying how real it looked.

Fooled a nurse = WIN! LOL

TypeO, you look aces! Great job on the makeup.

Enjoy your Samhain everyone! May it be a fun and enjoyably spooky one...or not, if you so desire.

Julie, surely you celebrate Halloween in Oz, right? Australians are a notoriously fun-loving bunch, I can't believe they'd let this holiday pass by.

TypeO, your boy is handsome, even with the gaping head wounds.

I really admire that "crying child" pumpkin that Strider posted. Someone there was thinking outside of the box, kudos to 'em.
