Quality character, skilled players all the way through to the 7th round (said player, by the way, was projected to go no lower than the 2nd round by all the scouting reports. One of the best steals of the draft). Strider Posted June 29, 2015 Share Posted June 29, 2015 I did not like giving up Martin Jones in the Kings deal to acquire Lucic from the Bruins. Jonathan Quick is seemingly injured every year, so it's prudent to have a reliable backup goalie on hand and Martin Jones was that man. Plus we gave Boston our first round pick. Lucic better be worth it. As for the Kings draft, SI gave them a C+ while giving the Ducks an A.http://www.si.com/nhl/2015/06/28/nhl-draft-western-conference-grades-Connor-McDavid But it's impossible to grade a draft the day after...it'll be a couple years before we can adequately see which teams picks did or did not pan out. Besides, the Kings have bigger worries than the draft this summer. Drugs, domestic assault...they have some major off-ice issues to fix. I guess Rick is ecstatic over the Bills picking Eichel. Eichel, Reinhart and Ristolainen are three young guys that will be superstars for a long time. Add O'Reilly and Delaruiers who we got from the kings for toughness and finesse and we have something special brewing. Ristolainen slammed home the winner vs Vancouver against our old friend Ryan Miller who i will always love. Ullmark seems to be the choice to be the starter but that could change. Go Sabres!!!!
