I dug up a misplaced box of cds last week and among them were a few Led Zeppelin bootlegs. But when I tried to find out more about them the internet provided zero information, apart from an ebay sale or two.

Nothing about these Boogie Down Chillun Productions boots from Fillmore, Boston Tea Party, and Winterland in 1969 or this Top Gear boot of September 4, 1970 L.A. Forum. Nothing on Underground Uprising. Nothing on BootLedz. Nothing on ArgenteumAstrum. Nothing on Bootlegpedia. Nothing on Collectors Reviews.

The cds are exactly as promised on the labels...no misdated shows or wrong song listings. But it's curious I can't find any info about the labels and what generation sources were used.

Can anyone help?

Unfortunately it seems many of these sources is just a bottomless pit of speculation and no solid evidence.

A while back someone was selling some original tapes of a Fillmore or some California show.  That's probably as close to a verified source anyone could possibly get.

First two were most likely produced by an independent record store owner (or obscure, independent bootlegger) in California circa 1991. The date is easy given one is dated. The location and producer is speculative, based on them being California shows. This is not a big name label, so they are most likely just knock offs of previously released titles by other bootleggers or copies of low gen tapes in circulation among tape traders.

The release by Top Gear...circa 2015...I tend to doubt it was pressed in Spain as lesser known labels often lie about their location. It's most likely something similar to the above, just more recent.

Thanks Steve. That's more in line with the kind of info I was seeking.

Let me be clear if I wasn't before...I know what the shows are, that part is no mystery. The red one definitely is November 6, 1969 Winterland. The yellow one is definitely Jan. 12 and April 25, 1969 Fillmore West, and Jan. 23 and 26, 1969 Boston Tea Party, and so on and so on.

I have had these shows, especially the 9.4.70 Forum, in other versions and these sound comparable to the best quality available.

Steve, I noticed the 1991 date on the two Boogie Down Chillun Productions right away...and that they say "Printed in Bron-Yr-Aur Wales". The 1991 date had me thinking they might be Italian or some European release, as the 1980s-'90s is when you saw a lot of Euro labels getting into the act.

I'm just puzzled how Underground Uprising or ArgenteumAstrum, which are usually thorough, have nothing on these titles. ArgenteumAstrum doesn't even list Boogie Down Chillun Productions in his list of bootleg labels. Led Zeppelin Art has no artwork jpegs, either.

It's the first time this has happened to me on any bootleg that I have found. Even that crazy April 27 '69 Fillmore West package I found years ago had information about it available on the internet.
