so how was the bowral gig????????

so how was the bowral gig????????

A great gig and a very nice place. The locals and staff are a great bunch.

The local Police visited the premises. One of them enjoyed the band so much he suggested (with the biggest grin I've seen) that unless we get back on stage he'd pepper spray me. We obliged and played Misty mountain hop. Whilst I was singing, I just could not help but laugh at the coincidence. "Just then a policeman stepped up to me asked us please hey would we care.....to all get in line".

We did pretty much the same set as above without Bring it on home. We'd have played longer but we have a noise curfew. Darn!!!

Grant,

Thanks for posting this.

Personally I particularly loved Communication Breakdown, Heartbreaker, WLL and D&C. Also, playing Bring it on home was a good choice.

How about playing In The Light, No Quarter and Nobody's Fault but mine next time? That would be fantastic.

Keep rocking, guys!

That's good!

When and where are you playing next? Do you have something planned in the Central Coast in the next few months?

I'll announce some new gigs here in a bit.

We've played at Dolayson RSL and it was great every time. If you'd like to see us at your local venue, just email or call them and ask for us. Here is Doyalson's email address.

I'm definitely on for the Laycock show of that.

G'day to all

Well, I'm a real lucky guy. I joined and first posted just after I got my O2 ticket (posted my story in this thread this week link post #74). Mostly I've just just lurked mainly - post count only 13! I'd never thought there be some sort of Aussie group on this global board but slave pointed me in the right direction ;). I'd actually never gone off the Main Forum, usually on either the O2 page or maybe LZ news to see if there was any word about either a DVD or tour.

I'm keen to have a look at Zeppelin Live too - sounds like they do a good show.

I really love good live rock (not exclusively Zep but they are of course the greatest) and get out to see it when I can. Been doing that for more than 30 years now :o.Next week The Angels (original Face to Face / No Exit line up, with Doc) play the Davistown RSL here on the Coast, kicking off a tour that will go until early August (and I suspesct never again). You couldn't be a fan of our country's rock without respecting them, although I've got a fair idea that Doc isn't in anywhere near the form of old (unlike how Robert Plant was!). I'll let you know how it goes.

Hey shadow,

Where is "Laycock"?

The Angels are playing Blacktown RSL next week.

They played Take A Long Line on The Footy Show last night, a bit rusty but Doc was in good form and they would kicked arse live.

Laycock Street Theatre is at Wyoming (next suburb to Gosford) here on the Central Coast.

I saw that last night too - a bit shaky. Thing is the other 4 guys have been going around for a few years as The Original Angels Band with John Brewster on lead vocal duties. They are really tight (and kick arse) - hopefully Doc will keep up. But it is the real thing with him in.

I saw the Doc Neeson's Angels do one of their first shows after he got back in the saddle (a guitarist friend from here was in his band). He was even shakier then but has a real presence.

I was talking to Rick after the Brewster Brothers did an accoustic show up here a couple of weeks ago and suggested to him the punters like me needed this for closure - like they disappeared off the face of the earth then there was all the legal bullshit. He said "I think we do too!"
