Jarlaxle 56
Remember, you don't always have to play fast blastbeats with a doublekick, it can be used for finesse and creativity as much as a single kick.

Amstel
His dad is unsurpassed at it. I'm sure Jason can do most of it, With a double kicker, Jason doesn't get close to what his papa did!

Geezer
Honestly, Jason's performance at the O2 wasn't exactly stellar.Just listen to GTBT. It's not a good drumming performance. Edited June 29, 2013 by Geezer
ledzepfilm
I wouldn't say that. Do I prefer him over Bonzo? No. But he was the man who was meant for the job and he did it well.
Amstel
Jason Bonham still can't play the intro to Rock n Roll properly - LOL No one is entitled to play drums for Led Zeppelin except John Bonham!
the chase
Double kick = cheating. For playing Zeppelin, yes I'd agree.. I saw an absolutely amazing drummer one time.. this guy could play incredible stuff, but he used the double pedal for GTBT and yes I was disappointed. But, someone like Scott Travis has made Double Bass such an important, incredible part of their sound it stands on its own. Honestly, Jason's performance at the O2 wasn't exactly stellar. Just listen to GTBT. It's not a good drumming performance. His drumming was fine..But, I must say his backing vocals on GTBT were annoying as hell.... "I wouldn't say that. ledzepfilm
Drum sound? I'd definitely agree. Jason's kick drum is no match for the master's.
Amstel
Also... I wasn't impressed with Jason's drumming during In My Time Of Dying. That song was pushed by John's speed/fills/power, etc., etc., and Jason didn't display any of that during that song.

The Tom work, the cowbell.. He did fine..not stellar. The backing vocals bugged the crap out of me though.
Geezer
I'm listening to it now, and I honestly think it's not an exceptional drumming performance. I'm sure Amstel will back me up on this one.As for the backing vocals, I agree. They're way too out-of-place. ledzepfilm
The backing vocals shouldn't of been there.

Geezer
That would be ridiculous. But I'd say Bill is right up there with Bonzo.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDlkgeoYtfQ
