sheep, so obviously arent intelligent enough to have aspirations

Depends on the sheep, I suppose. Generally speaking, sheep aspire to eat, sleep, and reproduce (and follow any shepherd with a big stick). Hard to say for certain what Roger Waters wished to point out (as his prose is layered like an onion) but one thing is for sure (imo), he has a wicked way with words.

'Fine little girl, she waits for me, she's as plastic as she can be. She paints her face with plastic goo, and wrecks her hair with some shampoo! Plastic people, oh baby now you're such a drag!'

'Help, I'm a rock! Who could imagine that they would freak out somewhere in Kansas?'

'Suzie? Suzie Creamcheese?'

So now you'd better stop and rebuild all your ruins, for peace and trust can win the day despite of all your losing.

~ Immigrant Song (Led Zeppelin)

*a close second is*

Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream.

~ Sheep (Pink Floyd)

How's it going fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? There are so many great songs with great Rock n' Roll lines and lyrics. Many of you chose some great ones already. I guess that I'll quote a song written by my friend Mr. Brian Wilson and his former Rock n' Roll doctor named Dr. Eugene E. Landy in 1988 entitled "Love And Mercy." This song does make a lot of sense, it is something that we can all relate to. It goes like this as follows:

Love And Mercy - 1988

I was sittin' in a crummy movie with my hands on my chin

Oh the violence that occurs seems like we never win

CHORUS

Love and Mercy that's what you need tonight

So, love and mercy to you and your friends tonight

I was lyin' in my room and the news came on T.V.

A lotta people out there hurtin' and it really scares me

CHORUS

I was standin' in a bar and watchin' all of the people there

Oh the loneliness in this world well its just not fair

CHORUS

Another great song written by Brian Wilson alone is the song he wrote in 1971 entitled "'Til I Die." It goes like this:

'Til I Die - 1971

I'm a cork on the ocean

Floating over the raging sea

How deep is the ocean?

I lost my way

I'm a rock in a landslide

Rolling over the mountainside

How deep is the valley?

It kills my soul

I'm a leaf on a windy day

Pretty soon I'll be blown away

How long will the wind blow?

Until I die

Before I go, I'd like to quote the last part to one of Brian Wilson's and Van Dyke Parks' greatest songs ever. It is the song entitled "Surf's Up" unreleased in 1967 and released in 1971 and 2004. It goes like this:

Surf's Up - 1967, 1971 and 2004 (Last part)

A Choke of grief heart hardened I

Beyond belief a broken man too tough to cry

Surf's up

Aboard a tidal wave

Come about hard and join

The young and often spring you gave

I heard the word

Wonderful thing

A children's song

A child is the father of the man

ROCK ON!

"Well, they call me the Hunter, that's my name

Call me the Hunter, that's how I got my fame

Ain't no need to hide, ain't no need to run

'cause I got you in the sights of my gun"

How Many More Times

How's it going "Adi" as well as our fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? Here's something else to add to your quote, it is as follows:

And someone said FAIR WARNING

Lord will strike that poor boy down

Turned from hunted into hunter

Went to hunt somebody down...

Quote taken from the song "Mean Street"

From the VAN HALEN FAIR WARNING album from 1981

ROCK ON!

How's it going fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I have many more best lines and lyrics from legendary artists such as:

You know where you are

You're in the jungle baby

You're gonna die

Quote from the song "Welcome To The Jungle"

From the GUNS N' ROSES APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION album from 1987.

Here's another:

Feels like I'm knockin' on heaven's door

Quote from the song "Knockin' On Heaven's Door"

From the BOB DYLAN soundtrack PAT GARRETT & BILLY THE KID album from 1973

Here's one more:

When you were young and your heart was an open book

You used to say live and let live

You know you did

You know you did

You know you did

But if this ever changin' world in which we live in

Makes you give in and cry

Say live and let die

Live and let die

Quote taken from the PAUL MCCARTNEY song "Let And Let Die"

From the James Bond movie soundtrack album LIVE AND LET DIE from 1973.

ROCK ON!

Roger Waters certainly could come up with some great meaingful 1-2 liners...

"We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,

Running over the same old ground.

What have you found? The same old fears.

Wish you were here. "

"Up and down.

But in the end its only round and round."

"And it's too late to lose the weight you used to need to throw around"

Just as every cop is a criminal

And all the sinners saints

As heads is tails

Just call me lucifer

cause Im in need of some restraint

So if you meet me

Have some courtesy

Have some sympathy, and some taste

Use all your well-learned politesse

Or Ill lay your soul to waste, um yeah!
