My favorites, in order:

"Snow Jobs" - March 19th, Vancouver Coliseum, '75

Some awesome untitled bootleg from some show in '73 (Not very descriptive, but accurate!)

"The Destroyer" - No need for a date here, obviously!

"Earl's Frickin' Court!" - May 24th, 1975

"Sgt. Page's Official Badgeholder Club" - Again, no need for a date!

"Knebworth Music Fest." - From the 11th

Cleveland 4-27 is much better than Destroyer. Destroyer was one of the worst shows of 77. I would almost rather listen to OKC than 4-28 Cleveland.

I think you got that mixed up Nick. Destroyer is the 4-27-77 show. I think you are talking about the 28th as being a better show.

I still don't see Destroyer being a bad show.

Destroyer is usually referred to as the 28th because it's soundboard was one of the first soundboards ever released. But the 27th is a much better show.

Like what Fresh Garbage said,

You're 180 degrees off the mark!

You are correct I did get them flipped around. The 28th is the better show. 27th was just a mediocre show overall. But you could say the same for about 80% of that tour.

Destroyer was the very first ever SB released from 77. I bought my first 4 record set when I was 14 in 1984 with the money I got when I graduated 8th grade... for years all my friends/family listened to this show. if we went to a big party in the woods or the lake, it's was a guarentee that someone would be cranking this show.

some of the many reasons why I love the show from the 27th. I listen to the 27th more then I do the 28th.

a good amount of Zeppelin fans back in the day would have Bluberry Hill and Destroyer and In The Light (BBC).

I didn't start getting any others until 1990. then the flood came with CD's :D

It's all good Nick :D

and your right about 80% of 77 I would put the 4-27 show at the top of the 80% ....although I would love a good audiance tape to surface to really get the feeling. then we can really be able to judge this show. on the SB you can't hear the croud at all. but they were really rowdy! I think 42 people got arrested that night :o

I think that explains the straight forward in your face performance. which I tend to like more then the happy rah-rah sort of performance.

and I would put the 4-28 show in the 20% club.

I have a very small list of "ultimate" shows and then after that there are some very, very good ones. So, based on quality, vibe, etc., ...here goes nothing.

1. 2-12-75 (Flying Circus)

2. 5-25-75 (Conquistador)

3. 3-5-75 (Days Confused)

4. 8-31-69 (Plays Pure Blues)

5. 1-22-73 (The Great Lost Live Album)

6. 3-27-75 (Tour De Force. one of the few '75 shows to include SIBLY)

7. 3-11-75 (Long Beach Arena Complete)

Lots of '75 shows on there...and if I kept going there would be a lot more

Actually Nick was semi-right. I actually have 2 bootlegs called "Destroyer". I have one that's just called "Destroyer" that's from the 27th, and another one called "The Destroyer" which has the date listed as the 28th and is different than the 27th. (Much better too) That's the one I listed

you wrote 'no need for a date' but look at how much trouble that has been caused!

the show from the 27 is the original Destroyer.the SB recording... anytime you mention Destroyer on a Zeppelin site everyone is going to think 4-27-77

also Destroyer has been associated with one of the Maryland shows ??? called Destroyer#3. as the second show from Cleveland would be considered Destroyer #2

just like Badge Holders. everyone knows it's the 23rd of June. but years later almost every one of the six dates in LA have been associated with the name Badge Holders.

that's why it's better to go by dates. and not bootleg titles.
