I LOVE THEM ALL! I'VE DRANK THEM ALL IN MY LIFETIME! I think it a lot safer to drink straight Absolut Vodka, Jack and Coke, Barcardi 151 Rum and Coke, Comacazie's, Straight Tequilla with the worm in the bottle to name a few. Oh I forgot, Early Times and Southern Comfort with Coke. I dare anyone to mix straight Tequilla and Jagermeister together. ROCK ON!

I just spent a week in New York. We had cocktails at the Flatiron Lounge - I highly recommend it. It's a real cocktail lounge...very Are Deco, they don't serve food, just alcohol. I had the Hotel Nacional Special which is run, pineapple juice and...something else. And it was fabulous.

Hotel Nacional Special

2 ounces golden rum (Cuban, if you can get it)

1-1/2 ounces unsweetened pineapple juice

1/2 ounce fresh squeezed lime juice

1 teaspoon dry apricot brandy

Shake with cracked ice until cold and frothy,

and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with anything

from a maraschino cherry to a "flag" (orange wedge and cherry

speared with a cocktail pick or a paper umbrella).

Nazdrovia!

caipiria.jpg

It looks really good! but it isn't the original caipirinha. This one is made of rum and brown sugar - or so it looks like on the pic, some people call this drink caipirissima - the original caipirinha is made of white sugar and cachaça. Not rum, neither vodca. :)
