Where's the outrage?

As usual, the media has nothing to say about Obama's comments in Elkhart, Indiana today - at least the part where he lied right in everybody's face...

But before we can rebuild our economy for tomorrow, we have to rescue it today. Now, that's why we passed a Recovery Act less than one month after I took office –- and we did so without any of the earmarks or pork-barrel spending that's so common in Washington, D.C.

He's joking, right?

If it was Bush, every network would have dug up every tape of his previous comments to the contrary.

But this is the real outrage.

We, as U.S. citizens, are now encouraged to report any instances we encounter of opinions/discussions that are counter to the claims of the White House with regards to Obama's healthcare plan.

These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain e-mails or through casual conversation. Since we can't keep track of all of them here at the White House, we're asking for your help. Everyone was appalled at the Bush administration policy on wiretapping (which the Obama administration now supports, as well), yet where's the outrage now that we are being encouraged to report anything about health insurance reform that seems "fishy."

Why does the White House need to know what people are saying on blogs, websites, forums, emails or simply conversation?

The farther we get into this administration, the less outrageous some of the warnings many people were making now seem.

When Bush was in office, highly-orchestrated and well-executed protests and disruptions at speeches and events were so commonplace they hardly received mention from the media, often shown in a humorous light. Expletive-filled tirades by CodePink, ActUp, and other MoveOn.org factions were par for the course.

Now, when concerned citizens who have serious and valid concerns show up at town-hall meetings to hold these two-faced politicians' feet to the fire and make them justify their canned remarks, the media portrays them as a threat to national security.

During the campaign, Obama himself urged his supporters to "get in the face" of those who opposed them, yet now if someone exercises their constitutional right to speak up and speak out, they are either racist, part of an unruly mob, a fringe extremist, or some combination thereof.

Where's the consistency of those who oppose government controlling our lives or invading our privacy?

Well, that's certainly the message the media is feeding us.

But then, they also fed us a lot of other messages concerning Obama, as well.

It's nowhere near as "orchestrated" and "manufactured" as this personality who has been swept into office on a wave of emotion.

Does anyone ever wonder why, at the '04 Convention when he was selected to give the keynote address, before he was even elected to the U.S. Senate, the crowd was waving more Obama signs than Kerry-Edwards signs? 18 minutes of Barack Obama on Barack Obama.

Does anyone find it odd that 8 months into his presidency, they are still running campaign-style television ads to combat any opposition to his politically unilateral agenda?

He'll stop at nothing to get Obama-care signed into law when the American Congress returns from it's summer recess. However, he has failed to secure bi-partisan support

for his plan so he'll have to forge ahead along party lines. He'll be just as polarizing

and stubborn as his predecessor and will lose swaths of white voters.

Postal Worker denied First Amendment Rights

GROVE CITY, OH. A postal carrier who has served the United States Postal Service in Grove City, Ohio for 21 years recently sent an email to The Patriot Update claiming that his First Amendment rights are being denied. It all started when John (we’re protecting his real identity for now) displayed a couple of conservative bumper stickers from The Patriot Depot on his car. His supervisors demanded that he remove the stickers from his personal vehicle if he wanted to continue parking on the USPS employee lot.

One could understand such a policy if it applied to both sides of the political fence. However, it appears that the USPS supervisors are exhibiting a double standard in John’s case. For years he has tolerated the frequent and rampant bashing of President Bush and conservative values. He reported that Liberal signs, bumper stickers, and left-wing slogans are proudly displayed on USPS property and other employee vehicles. Currently, there’s a vehicle used to deliver express mail, which prominently displays a pre-election bumper sticker for Obama.

John’s claims of unfair treatment and denial of his First Amendment rights have been completely disregarded by his supervisors. Thankfully, John found a fellow conservative in the union steward ranks who cited portions of the Hatch Act, a law which limits certain political activities of Federal employees both on and off duty, to help protect him for now. He continues to park in the employee lot even though he endures constant criticism and harassment from his supervisors if his conservative stickers aren’t covered.

It is inexcusable that this double standard exists. Then again, we should not be surprised. Liberals have always been tolerant of every religious and political view under the sun except Christianity and conservatism.

I've experienced the same thing. Last year I was asked to not park my truck on the company lot because my bumper stickers "might offend some our clients." I work in Hollywood at a post production facility, but never were any of the owners of "Impeach Bush" or "Bush Lied" slogans on other cars ever asked to tone it down.

So I would just get to work earlier and park my truck on the street RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DRIVEWAY with all my political stickers clearly visible. And it's not like I had a whole bunch of stuff on the truck either. Just an NRA sticker, a 'YES on 8' (California's proposition to define marriage as one man and one woman) and a NASCAR sticker. Not exactly a foaming at the mouth conservatvie message --- and I didn't even have a McCain/Palin sticker despite the numerous Obama stickers on other employee's cars.

I was told that my sticker supporting traditional marriage might be creating a hostile work enviroment. WTF!!!! IS THIS NOT AMERICA!!! You can't campaign peacfully for your politics without being accused of hate mongering? Would they rather I just resort to armed resistance and not the ballot box? Because I could play it that way too I suppose.

So the last week before the elections last year I put a huge 'YES ON 8' sign on my truck. One like you would put in the front yard --- and I didn't give a shit what the liberal nutters thought. Cry me a river I told a couple of them.

No offense to any of my liberal friends here. But in my opinion I am convinced that liberalism is the result of an infantile personality disorder. How could anyone be so offended by the mere sighting of an opposing point of view, that they would require it to be removed from their sight? It's like a baby that doesn't want to see a scary movie poster because it gives them nightmares.

I couldn't possibly find one. If I did, that would mean that this country had some kind of open debate over our response to Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Gitmo, and the like. If you remember, there were no debates or press conferences. There was only bad intel that happened to fit the agenda. Where it didn't fit, they manufactured lies for the world. When it came to manipulation, George preferred photo ops on aircraft carriers.....or in front of a fellow millionaire Republican's hurricane damaged home. I sure hope Trent was able to rebuild after Katrina....."Great Job Brownie !"
