DavidZoso Posted July 7, 2012 Share Posted July 7, 2012 This was the final performance by the original band. John 'Bonzo' Bonham's last show with Led Zeppelin. Most of the bootlegs I collected in the 1980's are all on vinyl but this was one of the first I got on cd. It is a good show and it features probably the longest Stairway to Heaven ever performed and one of the longest Trampled Underfoot's as well. The Whole Lotta Love is rather long for a version not featuring any medleys. I have always wondered why Achilles Last Stand was not performed at this show. It was also missing at the Vienna show on June 26, 1980. Another llittle tidbit is that Bonzo shaved his beard for this show and the one before it in Munich 7-5-80. He also wore sunglasses for the full performance here in Berlin. This is the anniversary for this show being performed 32 years ago today. I dedicate this photo setlist to my friend Sue.
