Cat
Led Zeppelin Group to Play Frankfurt European Stars & Stripes June 16, 1970 Although it's been touch and-go for the last few months, it's now official that the Led Zeppelin musical group will appear in concert at the Festival Hall on the Frankfurt fair grounds at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 18. According to the Lippman-Rau entertainment agency, the group's engagement last March at the Jahrhunderthalle in nearby Hoechst had been canceled because the 2,000-seat concert hall wouldn't accomodate the expected number of fans. In February, unruly youths had damaged the hall after being turned away from a Jethro Tull concert because the house was already filled to capacity. The management wanted no additional incidents and thus postponed the Led Zeppelin concert. The spokesman said the Festival Hall has a 9,000 seating capacity. Led Zeppelin will give a single 2 1/2 hour show without intermission. Their hit recordings include "Whole Lotta Love,' 'Good Times, Bad Times," 'Moby Dick" and "Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You." Tickets for the military community will be available at a 10 per cent discount through the Special Services tours office, I.G Farben building, Frankfurt mil.
