"I just jumped a train that never stops, so now somehow I know I'll never finish payin; for my ride."

ONE of my favorite but in my yearbook I took a line that still hits me to this day from STH:

"there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there's still time to change the road you're on".

I believe my faves are these from Trampled Underfoot:

"Mama, let me pump your gas, mama, let me do it all" and then "Baby, I could work all night, believe I've got the perfect tools"....

:veryhot::nuke:

 I just love that song hehehe

Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace, whose sounds caress my ear

Kashmir is close to my heart also. A wonderful song all the way, but the lyrics really overwhelm me when I watch the Freddie Mercury Tribute & AIDS awareness video, and in the middle of Innuendo Robert goes;

"Oh Father of the Four Winds fill my sail, across the sea of years

With no provision but an open face, along(?) the straits of fear

My Shangri-La beneath the summer moon, I will return again

Sure as the dust that floats high in June, when moving through Kashmir"

So witty choice in that context, beautiful and heartbreaking, it basically leaves me sobbing and trembling.

Robert often sung that verse during an extended jam of In The Mood during the 93 tour.

Thanks! :) Did he sing the same Kashmir lines as in Innuendo, or those of Physical Graffity Kashmir?

Oh, and in my first post I meant to say those lines were a very soulful and witty choice in the tribute & AIDS awareness context, not just clever as I initially wrote.

And yesterday I saw you standing by the river

and weren't those tears that filled your eyes

and all the fish that lay in dirty water dyin'

had they gotcha hypnotized

And yesterday I saw you kissing tiny flowers

but all that lives is born to die

and so I say to you that nothing really matters

and all you do is stand and cry

And this

Many times I've lied and many times I've listened

Many times I've wondered how much there is to know

...and

Everybody I know seems to know me well

but does anybody know I'm gonna move like hell

and(Oh god, lmao I could just go on forever, so this is my last)

Thanks to you, I'm much obliged for such a pleasant stay

but now it's time for me to go, the autumn moon lights my way

for now I smell the rain, and with it, pain

and it's headin' my way

In the days of my youth I was told what it means to be a man...

The first line from the first album, the first line I ever heard conceously...

I'm telling you now,

The greatest thing you ever can do now,

Is trade a smile with someone who's blue now,

It's very easy just.

Friends...my sisters absolute fav song, and a great sentence :)

I feel the same way after watching Boberts "Crazy Little thing Called Love"at the Tribute.

"Now I'm singing all my songs to the girl who won my heart,

She is only three years old and it's a real fine way to start"

Gotta go but I'll post more later

Peace Out!!

Ok, I know, highly predictable, but soooo undeniably beautiful ...

It is the summer of my smiles-

Flee from me keepers of the gloom.

Speak to me only with your eyes

It is to you I give this tune.

Aint so hard to recognize-

These things are clear to all from

Time to time. ooooh...

She better not talk like Barry White----So true. So true.

I made it my quest to e-mail the main Zep lyrics sites to change that line that most websites (I think including this website's administrator's original Zeppelin website back in the day) listed something akin to "she wears her cloak like fairy white."

Huh?

So --back in the days when I must have had A LOT of time on my hands-- I told the lyric websites about the correct Barry White line.

There ... I'm done patting myself on me back ... (ha ha!).

HAW!! Now that is classic misheard lyric. To be fair, the incorrect line sounds like a lot of Zeppelin "Tolkein inspired" lyrics! Had I never heard the tune and you placed those two lyrics side by side and asked me which was the Zeppelin lyric, I would guess wrong!

Hey lady you got the love I need.

Maybe, more than enough.

Oh Darlin' Darlin' Darlin' walk awile with me.

Oh you got so much, so much, so much...

Another great-

There's an angel on my shoulder.

In my hand a sword of gold.

Let me wander in your garden.

And the seeds of love I'll sow... you know.

Uno mas-

Took my chances on a big jet plane.

Never let em tell ya that we're all the same.

The sea was red and the sky was grey.

I wondered how tomorrow could ever follow today.

GREATNESS, PURE GREATNESS

The lyrics to 'That's The Way','Ten Years Gone' and 'Thank You' are my favourites. All really strong and all so heartfelt.

Yes, those are great along with the 'Rain Song', 'All My Love' and 'Kashmir'. So many wonderful ones, it is hard to choose.

All of Night Flight

"Let the music be your master, will you heed the masters call?"

"Crazy ways are evident in the way you wear your clothes" and "You told your mamma I'd get you home, but you didn't say that I had no car"

"When your conscience hits, ya knock it back with pills!"

One that describes me: "Said ya dug me since you were thirteen" :D

And of course "Cough"
