  1. TSRTS!!!! : P Easy Rider has a great soundtrack, so does 2 Lane Blacktop
  2. I love T. Rex, I'm on a mission to find Electric Warrior on vunyl.
  3. Anyone ever hear of the Baker-Gurvitz Army? I have a DJ copy of one of their albums, Elysian Encounter, from what I listened to it, it's not bad, I hear Hot Tuna is pretty good too. The Rockets are an amazing band too. They do I great cover of Fleetwood Mac's Oh Well, plus they have their own songs like Can't Sleep, Turn Up The Radio, and Desire, I saw them as the Helldrivers last summer as the opening act for Alice Cooper.
  4. Like a Hurricane - Neil Young The riff to this is pretty cool, finger-picking the octave on the B string after picking it on the A. It's a good song to improvise parts to, because it's hard to tell what the heck Neil is playing sometimes. Sounds pretty good on my Epi LP standard with the bridge pup volume down a little through my Marshall MG100.
  5. I don't believe Zeppelin ever backmasked, now ELO I know as a fact put backwards messages in songs, like Fire On High, there's a voice that was clearly recorded and then reversed, it says "The music is reversable, but time isn't, turn back ,turn back, turn back..." I think all that's trying to say is don't use time looking for backmasked messages in songs, it's a waste of time.
  6. For me, Tangerine, That's The Way, The Rain Song, Tear In Heaven by Clapton, Bell Bottom Blues by Derek and The Dominos, Fool In The Rain, All My Love, Desperado by The Eagles, 'Cause We've Ended as Lovers by Jeff Beck, You're So Good For Me by Humble Pie, and Rough Boy by ZZ Top, there's probably a few other but those make me particularly emotional.
  7. Welp, here's my guitar collection My first guitar My (Epiphone) Les Paul And the oldest guitar in my collection which is also the least valuable, a 65' Harmony-Sovereign 1260 I got for free, it's barely playable as the action past about the 5th fret is rubbish, but its cool to tell people that Jimmy Page and Pete Townshend used them. As far as amp's right now I have an MG100 stack, and the only pedals I use are a dunlop crybaby and an MXR Phase 90, the 3 things I want most are a M.I.M. Tele, a Dano DC-59, and any old Tube amp that works. Not bad for a 15 year old kid who just started playing a year ago eh?
  8. - It's more Sabbath-like than anything but, Working Man - Rush - God Gave Rock And Roll To You - Argent (Kiss covered it but I still prefer Argent's version by far) - Going Down - Jeff Beck Group - Wishing Well - Free - Any Triumph song - Almost any Jethro Tull song - any song by The Guess Who - This might just be me personally but anything by Neil Young, especially songs from "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" - Any pre-80's Who album, same with the Stones, and Deep Purple - Rainbow? - Pre-Eliminator ZZ Top I can go on and on... lol
  9. I know Page did it with the Yardbirds and they played it many times live, but a studio version of Train Kept' A Rollin' would be cool.
  10. I've been looking for a while and it seems DC-59's get rarer and rarer each day, I passed up a black-sparkle one for $450 that was in good condition a while ago, but I now regret that desicion, my idea is to just scavenge family owned music stores and smaller stores. Does anyone know where I could find one? Especially in Michigan or Ohio?
  11. Sorry to be bumping this thread, but does anyone know wether Pagey owned an Austin Military Jeep, or a Range Rover, or more than likely both? Richard Cole has stated that he was a car buff even though he never got a liscence.
  12. Sorry that I've been away so long, and I don't know any Zep-hater's but my idiotic friends believe KISS is better, for one, KISS has no talent when compared to Zeppelin, they thought the exact opposite, they sold out for everything, and there is so much more that Zeppelin has that KISS does not, but I'll never be able to make a point to them. If you asked me KISS is a bunch of smoke and mirrors, Zep is the real deal.

    Pet Peeves

Easy, my friend disagreeing with me that Zep are the gods of Rock and Roll, and disagreeing that Pagey is the Guitar/Mandolin-god, Percy is the Harmonica/Vocal-god, Jonesy is the Bass/Keyboard/etc.-god but he does agree that Bonzo is the drum-god. His KISS obsession is really annoying... ...biggest sell-out band ever...
